Cultural Programme Treat for Annual Disarmament and International Security Affairs Fellows
Mumbai, Jan 2026 : Representatives from 40 different countries who arrived in Mumbai under the Sixth Annual Disarmament and International Security Affairs Fellowship Programme were given an opportunity to experience Maharashtra’s rich culture at Sahyadri Guest House. The programme, organised by the State Department of Cultural Affairs, offered the delegates a delightful showcase of cultural performances. Chief Protocol Officer Rajesh Gavande was present on the occasion.
Welcoming the fellows from 40 countries, Chief Protocol Officer Mr. Gavande explained the significance of India’s diverse cultural heritage. Highlighting Mumbai’s importance both globally and within India, he also shared insights into Maharashtra’s culture.
On this occasion, cultural performances such as Lavani, Pandharpur Wari, and a musical drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj were presented.
