Chief Minister Reviews SNA SPARSH Implementation
Aizawl, January 2026: A meeting to review matters related to SNA SPARSH was held today at the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma, who also holds the Finance portfolio. The meeting was attended by Pu Lalthansanga, Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change (EF&CC), Prof. Lalnilawma, Minister for Rural Development (RD), Pu TBC Lalvenchhunga, Adviser to the Chief Minister, along with other senior officials.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the new funding mechanism under the Government of India’s Single Nodal Agency System for Public Account Routing System for Harmonised Transfers (SNA SPARSH). Out of 66 centrally sponsored schemes currently being implemented across the country, 40 schemes are relevant and applicable in Mizoram. Of these, SNA SPARSH has already been successfully implemented in 34 schemes.
Mizoram has emerged as the best-performing state in the North-East in terms of fund utilisation and management through the SNA SPARSH system and is also among the top ten performing states in the country. It was further noted that if the remaining few schemes are implemented efficiently within the stipulated timeframe, the state could receive performance-based incentives amounting to ₹350 crore from SASCI.
The meeting focused on strategies and action plans required to ensure eligibility for these performance incentives and to further strengthen the effective implementation of SNA SPARSH in the state.
