Telangana Partners with Blaize to Boost AI and Semiconductor Leadership

Davos, Jan 2026: Telangana took a major leap in its ambition to become a global hub for next-generation technologies at the World Economic Forum 2026, as the Telangana Rising delegation, led by Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Blaize, a California-based company specializing in energy-efficient AI hardware and full-stack software for data-centre AI computing.

The MoU, formalized during discussions with Blaize Co-Founder and CEO Shri Dinakar Munagala, focuses on accelerating Telangana’s initiatives in electronics, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence (AI). The collaboration will also support the scaling up of Blaize’s R&D and engineering centre in Hyderabad and enhance the state’s advanced AI engineering capabilities. Blaize already partners across Asia on hybrid AI infrastructure for smart cities and industrial solutions, and its Hyderabad R&D centre will now play a pivotal role in expanding these capabilities.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his enthusiasm over the partnership, noting that Telangana’s goal to become a leading AI data-centre hub aligns with the state’s broader vision of achieving a $3 trillion economy over the next two decades. “Telangana is rapidly emerging as a progressive, technology-driven state, with high-impact initiatives across artificial intelligence, data centres, quantum computing, advanced hardware, and automation,” he said.

Minister for IT and Industries Shri Duddilla Sridhar Babu highlighted the launch of the Telangana AI Innovation Hub (TAIH), which will serve as the state’s strategic nerve centre for AI-led growth. The hub is expected to drive investments, research, and innovation, positioning Hyderabad as a premier global destination for artificial intelligence. The Minister welcomed Blaize’s plans to expand its R&D footprint in the state and assured the company of full government support in developing a skilled AI talent pool.

The discussions also covered potential industry applications of AI, including pilot deployments in healthcare diagnostics, manufacturing automation, and energy efficiency, aligning with Telangana’s vision of leveraging emerging technologies for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

This collaboration underscores Telangana’s commitment to fostering a robust AI ecosystem, strengthening its semiconductor and electronics capabilities, and attracting global technology leaders to drive innovation, investment, and employment in the state.
