Rehearsal for State-Level Republic Day 2026 Ceremony Held at SMS Stadium

Jaipur, January 2026 : The state-level Republic Day 2026 celebrations in Rajasthan are scheduled to take place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium (SMS), Jaipur, at 9:30 AM on Monday, January 26. On Saturday, a full-dress rehearsal for the upcoming ceremony was conducted at the stadium.

During the rehearsal, various elements of the main state-level program were practiced, including the march-past, parade, equestrian displays by the Rajasthan Police, as well as performances by army, police, and school bands, alongside traditional Rajasthani dances.

Each platoon of units such as Haadi Rani Women Battalion, 14th Battalion RAC, SDRF, GRP, Border Home Guard, and Urban Home Guard (male and female) participated in the drill to ensure smooth execution on the actual day.

Twelve state government departments will present thematic tableaux during the Republic Day event. These will showcase the government’s key welfare schemes, development initiatives, and the vision of “Developed Rajasthan@2047”, highlighting major achievements in each department’s respective domain.

Cultural programs by school students were also rehearsed, emphasizing patriotism. A “Vande Mataram”-themed cultural presentation brought the spirit of the nation to life. Students performed traditional folk dances and patriotic sequences, reflecting the vibrant colors and rich cultural heritage of the state.

The rehearsal was further enlivened by musical performances from army personnel, Rajasthan Police, Scouts and Guides, and schoolchildren. RAC personnel showcased German drill routines, demonstrating agility and precision. Weapon demonstrations by RAC troops and daring stunts by horse-mounted police created a thrilling spectacle for onlookers.

Additionally, dancers performed routines inspired by Rajasthan’s folk culture, adding a vibrant, rainbow-like visual charm to the rehearsal, giving a glimpse of the grandeur and cultural richness that will mark the Republic Day celebrations.
