Mumbai, August 2026 : Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has shared a reflective message on fate, luck and success, urging people to take responsibility for shaping their own lives rather than attributing their circumstances to destiny.
The veteran actor, known for frequently sharing personal thoughts and observations through his blog, addressed the tendency among people to credit luck for success or blame it for setbacks. In his latest post on Friday evening, Bachchan argued that individuals have considerable power to determine the course of their lives.
“Luck is an excuse .. fate is what you make, and the success is what your fate is .. you built your fate,” Bachchan wrote, while questioning the tendency to link fate and luck when explaining life's outcomes.
The actor also expressed the same sentiment in Hindi, responding to people who often tell him that their fate is not favourable. He rejected the idea that a person's destiny is permanently fixed and stressed that everyone possesses the ability to shape their own future.

During the shooting of the film, Bachchan sustained severe injuries in an accident and was rushed to hospital. His condition became critical, and reports from the period said he was at one stage considered clinically dead before doctors were able to revive him.
