Jaipur, September 2026: Principal Secretary, Medical and Health, Gayatri Rathore has issued necessary directions to all districts for organising blood donation camps across Rajasthan on September 17, 2026, under the Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyan.
She said blood donation is an important public service that helps save human lives and directed officials to ensure maximum participation of voluntary blood donors in the camps.
Rathore instructed all districts to organise the blood donation camps in coordination with the Red Cross Society, youth associations and other voluntary organisations, willing blood donors, private medical colleges, colleges and local blood banks.
She also directed officials to coordinate with government and private blood banks and ensure the availability of medical teams and all necessary resources at the designated time and venue.
The Principal Secretary said maximum numbers of people willing to donate blood should be registered on the e-Rakt Kosh portal. During registration, details including the donor’s name, age, mobile number, blood group and identity document should be recorded.
Officials have also been instructed to arrange separate counters or desks at the camp venues to facilitate the registration process for blood donors.
Rathore said medical teams should be made available at the blood donation camps to deal with any emergency situation that may arise during the process. At the district level, concerned officials have been entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring the organisation of the camps, coordination with blood banks and necessary medical arrangements.
As part of the campaign, photographs and videos of every blood donation camp will have to be mandatorily uploaded on the concerned portal. Designated nodal officers will be responsible for sending information related to the camps, reporting and uploading the required material on the portal.
The Principal Secretary directed all concerned officials to ensure that blood donation camps are organised in a timely and systematic manner, with active participation from local voluntary organisations, youth groups, colleges and other institutions.
She also directed officials to ensure that, in view of the ongoing election process in urban local bodies, the camps are organised in accordance with the directions of the State Election Commission and the applicable Model Code of Conduct.
