Jaipur, August 2026 : Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma stated that Rajasthan and Japan share a long-lasting and staunch bond. Consequently, the state government is working on a roadmap to develop various industries—including the gems and jewellery sector—through cooperation between Rajasthan and Japan. As part of this initiative, special facilities have been developed by establishing a 'Japanese Zone,' providing Japanese companies with access to favourable infrastructure.

The Chief Minister held a meeting with the Japanese delegation on Sunday to discuss industry and investment. He urged the Jaipur Jewellery Association and the Yamanashi Jewellery Association to collaborate on technology and investment to further advance the gems and jewellery trade, thereby boosting business and creating maximum employment opportunities.

Referring to his 2024 visit to Japan, The Chief Minister noted that Japanese companies had expressed gratitude for achieving three-to-fourfold returns in Rajasthan."

He added that the state government invites Japanese investors to set up industries in Rajasthan.

During the meeting, Yuichi Higuchi, Mayor of Kofu City, Japan, commended the Rajasthan government's investment-friendly policies and the available investment opportunities, noting that 180 Japanese companies are currently operating in the state. He mentioned that jewellers from Jaipur and Kofu City are collaborating on global jewellery business operations, with approximately 60 companies from Jaipur engaged in jewellery-related work in Kofu City.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister and the Japanese delegation greeted each other with "Radhe-Radhe."
