Earning the trust of the general public is the true benchmark of administrative success. — Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma

Probationary officers from various state services share their experiences with the Chief Minister.

Expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the continuous conduct of RAS recruitment exams, praising the training of 2 batches within a single year.

Jaipur, October 2026 : Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma interacted with state service probationary officers at OTS on Thursday, giving them the core mantras of good governance and public service. During this, he stated that true success in administrative service is determined by the positive change brought into the life of the common citizen. Every decision made by the administration should always keep the needs and problems of the general public in mind.

The Chief Minister said that one should understand their position not merely as an officer, but as a responsibility of public service. They should remember their struggles and past, draw inspiration from them to work in the interest of the general public, and never change the direction of their purpose, because the real test of life begins after sitting in a position of responsibility.

He stated that the RAS recruitment exam will be conducted every year to ensure the dreams and futures of the youth. He told the probationary officers to consider every person and the entire Rajasthan as their family, connect with the general public with full empathy, and resolve their problems.

Make Public Trust the Greatest Capital of Administration

The Chief Minister said that every person coming to the office comes with some hope. In such a situation, the behaviour, work style, and decisions of the officers can strengthen that person's trust in the administration. He said that character and public trust are the greatest capital of an officer in public service. Therefore, make honesty and impartiality the basis of your work. Appealing to the officers, he said that they should develop a work culture where people do not have to make unnecessary rounds for their work and every person is heard with respect.

He said that officers should go to their work areas, meet people, listen to their problems, and understand local conditions. Public hearings (jansunwai) should not be limited to a mere formal activity, but should be made an effective medium for solving problems.

Ensuring Benefits Reach Eligible Individuals Must Be the Priority

The Chief Minister said that policies and schemes are meaningful only when their benefits reach eligible individuals on time and a real improvement is visible in their lives. For this, officers should have a clear understanding of the eligibility, procedures, and timelines of schemes. He emphasized setting important priorities in the workplace, fixing clear targets, and regularly reviewing their progress.

Utilise Technology to Make Administration Effective

The Chief Minister said that digital platforms, online services, data, and artificial intelligence (AI) are providing new opportunities to make governance and administration more transparent and effective. Young officers should use their technical understanding to simplify administrative processes, save time, and improve the quality of services. He said that it is necessary to reach the benefits of digital services to every citizen. It must be ensured that no person is deprived of government service benefits simply due to an inability to use technology.

Providing Opportunities and Self-Reliance to Youth is the Government's Priority

The Chief Minister said that the youth of Rajasthan are full of energy, talent, and aspirations. They need good education, skill development, employment opportunities, and a favourable environment for entrepreneurship. The state government is continuously working to connect the capacities of the youth with the mainstream of development. In this direction, appointments have been given to 1 lakh 93 thousand posts, while recruitment for 1 lakh 18 thousand posts is under process. Meanwhile, a recruitment calendar has been released for 1.25 lakh posts in the year 2026. He said that our government has also provided better employment opportunities to youth in the private sector.
