Patna, August 2026: Governor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Syed Ata Hasnain and Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today paid tribute to freedom fighter late Devsharan Singh on his birth anniversary by offering floral tributes at his life-size statue installed in the North Park near Gate No. 10 of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, as part of a government ceremony organised on the occasion.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr Prem Kumar, Bihar Legislative Council Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh, Bihar Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Narendra Narayan Yadav, Bihar Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Ramvachan Rai, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, Cooperation Minister Ram Kripal Yadav, Higher Education Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger, MP Kaushalendra Kumar, freedom fighter late Devsharan Singh’s grandson and Legislative Council member Sanjay Kumar Singh alias Gandhiji, JD(U) state president and MLA Umesh Kushwaha, MLAs Shyam Rajak, Radhacharan Sah, Vashishth Singh and Ramsevak Singh, Legislative Council members Kumud Verma and Reena Devi, along with other public representatives and social workers, also offered floral tributes at the statue of late Devsharan Singh.
On the occasion, artistes of the Information and Public Relations Department also performed the traditional aarti and prayer and sang the National Song, National Anthem, Bihar Song and patriotic songs.
