Feedback Sought on Field-Level Challenges, Implementation of Schemes and Administrative Innovations
Jaipur, Sept 2026: Chief Secretary V. Srinivas held a meeting with young district collectors at the Government Secretariat on Tuesday and discussed various administrative issues, including education, healthcare, prevention of cybercrime, the Hariyalo Rajasthan campaign and the Jal Jeevan Mission. He sought feedback from the collectors on field-level challenges, implementation of government schemes and administrative innovations.
The Chief Secretary said that the priority of district administrations should be to ensure citizen-centric, sensitive and outcome-oriented governance. He directed collectors to regularly visit the field to assess the ground reality of schemes and public services and ensure effective solutions based on local requirements.
Focus on Comprehensive Improvement in Education
Srinivas emphasised the need to ensure safe and robust infrastructure, clean drinking water and a quality academic environment in schools.
He asked district collectors to regularly inspect schools, identify gaps in basic infrastructure and ensure that deficiencies are addressed within fixed timelines. He said that the state government will invest Rs 3,000 crore this year to strengthen school infrastructure across Rajasthan.
Regular Monitoring of Healthcare Services
Srinivas directed district collectors to regularly review healthcare services and maintain effective coordination with Chief Medical and Health Officers (CMHOs) and other concerned officials.
He particularly stressed the need to monitor high-risk pregnancies and ensure the availability of essential healthcare facilities at medical institutions.
He said better coordination among primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare institutions can help manage challenges associated with high-risk pregnancies more effectively.
Discussion on Prevention of Cybercrime
While reviewing cybercrime-related cases, the Chief Secretary stressed the need to keep district-level committees active and ensure effective coordination among concerned departments and agencies.
He highlighted the importance of identifying new and suspicious bank accounts being used for cybercrime and taking prompt action against them.
Srinivas also directed officials to review the disposal of complaints received through the cybercrime helpline 1930 and strengthen public awareness about ways to prevent cyber fraud and other cybercrimes.
Increase Public Participation in Hariyalo Rajasthan
Reviewing the Hariyalo Rajasthan campaign, the Chief Secretary stressed that attention should not be limited to plantation activities but should also focus on the care and protection of planted trees.
He emphasised the need to involve citizens in the campaign to ensure the long-term survival and impact of plantations.
Focus on Quality of Jal Jeevan Mission Works
Srinivas reviewed the progress of works being carried out under the Jal Jeevan Mission and directed officials to pay particular attention to the quality and timely completion of projects related to drinking water supply.
He asked district collectors to coordinate with the Public Health Engineering Department and other concerned departments and closely monitor the progress of works at the field level.
The Chief Secretary said district collectors are a crucial link in the administrative system and that their active presence in the field has a direct impact on the quality of services delivered to citizens.
He encouraged the young officers to make greater use of innovation, technology and improved administrative practices to make citizen-centric governance more effective.
District collectors from Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Jodhpur and Karauli attended the meeting.
