On the Jayanti of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Chief Secretary Shri Ashok Barnwal administered the National Unity Day pledge to senior officers, employees and citizens at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Park, located at the Mantralaya. Before the ceremony, the Chief Secretary and other dignitaries paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's statue.
Through the pledge, all officers and employees resolved to dedicate themselves to preserving the unity, integrity and security of the nation and to make every effort to spread this message among fellow citizens. They took the pledge in the spirit of national unity, made possible by the vision and contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. They also sincerely resolved to contribute towards ensuring the internal security of the country.
Additional Chief Secretaries Shri Manu Shrivastava, Shri Anupam Rajan, Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla and Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretaries, officers and employees of Mantralaya, Vallabh Bhawan, Satpura and Vindhyachal Bhawans, and police personnel were present on the occasion.
