Lawngtlai, September 2026: Dr. Lorrain Lalpekliana Chinzah, Adviser to the Chief Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Agriculture and Family Welfare, and MLA from Lawngtlai East constituency, today donated one table tennis board each to the Lairam Rescue Centre (LRC) and Lawngtlai District Jail. Lawngtlai Deputy Commissioner Donny Lalruatsanga was also present on the occasion.
While handing over the table tennis boards, Dr. Chinzah expressed hope that they would be put to good and beneficial use. He stressed the importance of regular physical exercise for maintaining both mental and physical health and encouraged the recipients to give priority to their health and engage in physical activities to the best of their ability.
Emphasising the importance of mental and spiritual well-being, the Chief Minister's Adviser encouraged inmates and residents to learn from their past mistakes, develop a positive outlook and strive to become useful members of society. He urged them not to lose hope but to continue working towards a better future.
Dr. Chinzah further said that faith in God should be given the highest importance and encouraged everyone to make a fresh start in life and continue making sincere efforts to move forward.
Deputy Commissioner Donny Lalruatsanga said that every person has the opportunity to reform and improve themselves, but achieving this requires determination and a firm resolve. He extended his best wishes to the recipients and encouraged them to transform themselves and work towards becoming useful members of society.
The MLA and the Deputy Commissioner were warmly received by the staff of the institutions. The staff expressed their gratitude for the table tennis boards donated by the MLA and thanked both the MLA and the Deputy Commissioner for their continued consideration and support in various matters.
