Jaipur, September 2026 : Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double-engine government in the state does not merely make announcements but also ensures their time-bound implementation on the ground. In this direction, giving a new impetus to development in Bharatpur Division, 65 major development works worth around Rs 453 crore have been inaugurated and foundation stones laid for 184 new development works worth Rs 540 crore. These development works will promote modern infrastructure, education, healthcare services, tourism and investment in the region.
The Chief Minister was addressing the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremony for development works organised at Bidyari in Bayana, Bharatpur district, on Monday. He said that Bharatpur has received the gift of inauguration and foundation stone-laying for 130 works worth more than Rs 382 crore, Deeg for 24 works worth more than Rs 358 crore, Karauli for 43 works worth more than Rs 136 crore, Sawai Madhopur for 46 works worth more than Rs 74 crore, and Dholpur for six development works worth more than Rs 42 crore.
More than Rs 2 lakh crore worth of works underway in the water sector
He said that by adopting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’, the state government is moving towards the goal of Viksit Rajasthan–2047. The government is undertaking works worth more than Rs 2 lakh crore in the water sector. These include historic initiatives such as the Yamuna Water Agreement, Ramjal Setu Project and Kishau Agreement, which had remained pending for decades. He said that the state is also becoming self-reliant in the energy sector. Rajasthan is a leading state in the country under the PM-KUSUM scheme, while power generation capacity has increased by 10,500 MW. Production has also commenced at the country’s most advanced refinery.
410 examinations conducted without paper leaks; appointments made to 1.90 lakh posts
The Chief Minister said that in the direction of providing employment to the youth, 410 examinations have so far been conducted without paper leaks, resulting in government appointments to 1.90 lakh posts for young people. Recruitment to 1.22 lakh posts is currently under process, while a recruitment calendar for 1.25 lakh posts has also been issued. He said that for the welfare of farmers, the state government has provided Rs 14,395 crore to 76 lakh farmers under the Kisan Samman Nidhi and provided interest-free crop loans of around Rs 67,000 crore to more than one crore farmers.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is undertaking significant development works in all sectors, including healthcare, water, power, roads and education. To strengthen emergency and maternal and child healthcare services, the foundation stone has been laid for a state-of-the-art Trauma Centre and MCH Hospital in Bharatpur at a cost of around Rs 160 crore. In addition, foundation stones have been laid for 20 new works worth more than Rs 108 crore in the medical and health sector, while 11 works have been inaugurated. For infrastructure development of roads, foundation stones have been laid for 125 works costing more than Rs 207 crore, while roads worth more than Rs 24 crore have been inaugurated.
New 33 KV sub-stations to be constructed at Chuli and Aniyala
The Chief Minister said that 14 major works worth Rs 273 crore in the power sector have been inaugurated, while new 33 KV sub-stations will also be constructed at Chuli and Aniyala. Under the water resources sector, projects worth more than Rs 128 crore have been inaugurated and foundation stones laid for new works worth more than Rs 44 crore. The drinking water augmentation scheme in Nadbai will also commence soon.
He said that to empower farmers, the foundation stones have been laid at Nithar in Bhusawar for expansion of the agricultural produce market, construction of a boundary wall and Kisan Path, as well as a new bio-testing laboratory and buildings for new veterinary hospitals and sub-centres. In addition, the newly constructed building of the Government Girls College in Bari, built at a cost of Rs 7.5 crore, has been inaugurated. Foundation stones have also been laid for education-related works worth more than Rs 27 crore, and buildings for new primary schools will be constructed.
Chief Minister makes important announcements
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister announced the construction of modern stadiums in Bayana and Braj Nagar, as well as new 33 KV sub-stations at Thanadang, Supa and Mahalpur Chura. He also announced the construction of roads from Ghatauli to Mairtha-Milsama Road up to the Uttar Pradesh border and from Samari Mod to Singhania, along with three culverts on the routes of Nagla Jalsingh, Naharoli-Sikandra and Nagla Diwan.
Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the state government has realised the long-pending dream of the Ramjal Setu Project. Bharatpur Division will also receive significant benefits from the project. He said that the state government has established new milestones of development for all sections, including youth, farmers, women and the poor.
Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the state government is fulfilling its resolve for the welfare of every section of society and moving ahead towards a Viksit Rajasthan.
MLAs Ritu Banawat, Dr Shailesh Singh, Hansraj Meena and Darshan Singh, Bharatpur Municipal Corporation Mayor Anuradha Singh, other public representatives and a large number of people were present on the occasion.
