₹9.03 crore administrative approval for education, healthcare and infrastructure projects
₹8.73 crore sanctioned for hostel, conference hall and other construction works at DIET Dharamjaigarh
Raipur, August 2026: The Chhattisgarh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, is giving priority to development works based on local needs in mining-affected areas. In this direction, administrative approval has been granted for various education, healthcare and infrastructure projects in Raigarh district under the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) fund.
An amount of ₹9.03 crore (₹9,03,66,149) has been sanctioned for these projects following the efforts of Finance Minister and Raigarh MLA O.P. Choudhary. The works have been approved under the guidance of Raigarh Collector Mayank Chaturvedi.
DIET Dharamjaigarh Infrastructure to Receive Major Upgrade
An amount of ₹8.73 crore has been sanctioned from the DMF fund for various construction and development works at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Dharamjaigarh.
The sanctioned amount will be utilised for the construction of separate hostel buildings for male and female students, a conference hall and toilet blocks, besides repair and renovation of the existing old building.
The development of these facilities is expected to strengthen the institute's infrastructure and provide improved facilities for conducting training and other academic activities.
Prayer Shed to Come Up at Kudumkela High School
A prayer shed will be constructed at the Government High School in Kudumkela Gram Panchayat of Gharghoda development block for students to participate in collective activities and prayer programmes.
The project, estimated to cost ₹5 lakh, has received administrative approval under the DMF fund.
BLS Ambulance for PHC Chhal
As part of efforts to strengthen healthcare services in rural areas, ₹25.66 lakh has been sanctioned for the purchase of one Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance for the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Chhal.
The availability of the ambulance will help ensure timely transportation of patients to higher healthcare facilities during emergencies and is expected to strengthen medical services in rural areas.
The projects approved under the DMF fund are expected to expand educational, healthcare and basic infrastructure facilities in mining-affected areas of Raigarh district.
With development initiatives being planned according to local requirements, the projects are expected to provide greater public benefits and give fresh momentum to the overall and balanced development of the region.
