Lucknow, September 2026: The Lok Chaupal, organised by the Lok Sanskriti Shodh Sansthan on Saturday at Sangeet Bhawan in Vivek Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, came alive with devotional songs and musical performances, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
The artists presented a series of melodious bhajans, including “Ganpati Aao Ji Mhāre, Bhari Sabha Mein Rang Barsao Ji.” Meahika, Avika, Adrიკა, Karnika, Avyansh, Suman Mishra and Vinita, among others, presented a variety of songs during the programme.
Chaupal in-charge Archana Gupta received appreciation for her performances of the popular Bundeli bhajans “Jab Zid Par Aa Gayi Parvati” and “Maine Tere Hi Bharose Hanuman, Sagar Mein Naiya Daal Dai.”
On the occasion, art critic Dr. S.K. Gopal remembered renowned music scholar and exponent Prof. Kamala Srivastava on her birth anniversary and highlighted her significant contribution to the field of music. He informed the gathering that the inauguration of the plaque for ‘Kamala Srivastava Marg’, approved by the Municipal Corporation, will take place shortly.
Musicologist Gayatri David, Nivedita Bhattacharya, Tusharkanti Bhattacharya, Sansthan Secretary Dr. Sudha Dwivedi, Dashrath and several other dignitaries and participants were present at the programme.
