Farmers Must Get Their Farmer IDs: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that a campaign to create Farmer IDs has been launched across the state from August 20. Farmers will no longer have to visit offices or stand in long queues. Government teams will visit farmers at their doorsteps to facilitate the creation of their Farmer IDs. The Chief Minister urged all farmers to ensure that they get their Farmer IDs made.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav virtually addressed the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav, organised at the Krishi Upaj Mandi in Piparsama, Shivpuri district, from New Delhi on Saturday.

Government to Provide Fertiliser in Advance at Zero Interest

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav virtually addressed the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav, organised at the Krishi Upaj Mandi in Piparsama, Shivpuri district, from New Delhi on Saturday.Dr. Yadav told farmers that they need not worry about the availability of fertilisers. To ensure that lack of funds does not become an obstacle for any farmer, the state government has decided to provide fertilisers in advance at zero per cent interest. He said, “We will not allow even a single line of worry to appear on the farmer’s forehead.” The Chief Minister noted that the peanuts produced through the hard work of Shivpuri’s farmers have earned recognition across the country. He urged farmers not to remain confined to traditional crops and to explore other income-generating sectors such as horticulture, dairy farming, fisheries and animal husbandry.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government would always stand with farmers and expressed confidence that together they would make Shivpuri a leading agricultural district.

Water from Five Rivers Bringing Prosperity to Farms

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in Shivpuri, the city associated with Lord Shiva, farmers are receiving water for their fields from the Ken, Betwa, Parvati, Sindh and Mahua rivers, like the five elements of Panchamrit. Remembering freedom fighter and martyr Tatya Tope, he said that the Balaram Jayanti Mahotsav is truly a remarkable celebration of the pride and self-respect of farmers.

Farmers Get Greater Flexibility in Repaying Loans

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government is implementing several welfare schemes to improve farmers’ profitability in agriculture.

He said farmers were earlier required to repay their loans by March 31. This deadline has now been removed, providing greater flexibility. Farmers can repay their loans at any time during the year.

E-Vikas 2.0 to Make Fertiliser Distribution Easier

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the E-Vikas system has been made more effective, convenient, simple and farmer-friendly.

Under E-Vikas 2.0, farmers will be able to obtain fertilisers according to their requirements. They will also be able to purchase any one fertiliser of their choice without being required to buy it in combination with another fertiliser.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that farmers are increasingly generating income through activities beyond agriculture. The concept of homestays is also gradually gaining popularity, providing an additional source of income for farmers. He noted that the Madhav National Park/Tiger Reserve in the region is also promoting tourism and creating new opportunities for local communities.

Daytime Power Supply for Gram and Sugarcane Farmers from Next Year

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the government is continuously working for the prosperity of farmers. From next year, farmers growing gram and sugarcane will receive electricity throughout the day for these crops. He said,“This will end the problem of night-time power supply and save farmers from having to stay awake throughout the night for irrigation.”

Ladli Behna Funds Transferred Before Raksha Bandhan

Extending Raksha Bandhan greetings to all farmers and particularly Ladli Behnas in the district, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the financial assistance under the Ladli Behna Yojana had been transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts ahead of the festival so that women could celebrate Raksha Bandhan happily. He said farmers are receiving a total of ₹12,000 annually under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme through the combined support of the Central and state governments. This enables them to meet essential agricultural expenses such as fertilisers and seeds on time.

Public Representatives and Farmers Attend the Mahotsav

The Balaram Krishi Mahotsav in Shivpuri was attended by Shivpuri MLA Shri Devendra Jain, Kolaras MLA Shri Mahendra Singh Yadav, Karera MLA Shri Ramesh Prasad Khatik, Janpad President Smt. Hemlata Rawat, Municipal Council President Smt. Gayatri Sharma, former MLA Shri Prahlad Bharti, Shri Jaipal Singh Chawda, Shri Jaswant Jatav, other public representatives and a large number of farmers.
