Reviews Crop Conditions and Rainfall Break; Interacts with Farmers
Nashik, Sept 2026 : Maharashtra Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Sunday inspected the drought-like situation in Rajapur village of Yeola taluka and reviewed the current condition of kharif crops.
During the visit, Bhujbal interacted with farmers and gathered information about the amount of rainfall received, prolonged gaps in rainfall, crop growth and availability of water.
Sub-Divisional Officer Babasaheb Gadhave, Niphad Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Batu Patil, Tehsildar Aba Mahajan, Taluka Agriculture Officer Shubham Berad, Village Revenue Officer Savita Dhiwar, Gram Panchayat Officer Chandrakant Borse and Circle Officer Ganesh Ladekar, among other officials, were present on the occasion.
Bhujbal inspected the damage caused to crops in the Rajapur area due to breaks in rainfall, including crop diseases and other difficulties faced by farmers. Farmers apprised him of the current condition of their crops, availability of water and the possible extent of losses.
The minister listened to the concerns raised by the farmers and also sought information from the concerned officials about the situation on the ground.
Bhujbal directed the concerned authorities to conduct an objective assessment of the situation arising from the prolonged gaps in rainfall and take necessary action accordingly.
He also instructed the administration to remain prompt in taking necessary steps to ensure that farmers receive various concessions and assistance available to them under government norms.
Local farmers and villagers were present during the minister's visit.
