Roads, Drains and Culverts to Be Built at a Cost of Over Rs 2.33 Crore
Raipur, October 2026: Thirty-one development works aimed at improving basic civic amenities in Shivnandpur Nagar Panchayat, under the Bhatgaon Assembly constituency of Chhattisgarh, have received technical approval for the financial year 2026–27.
The projects, approved following the efforts of Minister Laxmi Rajwade, will be implemented at a total estimated cost of Rs 2 crore 33 lakh 44 thousand.
According to an order issued by the Urban Administration and Development Department on October 6, 2026, the approved works include the construction of cement-concrete (CC) roads, reinforced cement concrete (RCC) drains, culverts and paver-block flooring across various wards of the town.
The plan also provides for the construction of boundary walls around the Devgudi in Ward No. 7 and the Sarna in Ward No. 8.
The development works are expected to improve local connectivity, make daily commuting easier for residents and strengthen the town’s drainage infrastructure.
Shivnandpur Nagar Panchayat President Ritesh Jaiswal expressed his gratitude to Minister Rajwade for her efforts in securing approval for the projects.
The implementation of the works will be carried out in accordance with the department’s guidelines and prescribed procedures.
