Lucknow, Sept 2026 : BJP MLA Dr Neeraj Bora on Tuesday met the family of Magan Bihari Tiwari, a resident of Bharat Nagar who was allegedly murdered within the jurisdiction of Madiyaon police station, and handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh in financial assistance sanctioned by the Chief Minister.
The cheque was presented to Tiwari’s wife, Maya Kumari, as relief following the death of her husband.
Expressing grief over the incident, Dr Bora described the killing as unfortunate and serious. He said the state government was following a zero-tolerance policy towards crime and assured the family that the government and administration stood firmly with them during the difficult period.
The MLA said the police had acted promptly in the case and arrested the accused. He added that every possible effort was being made to provide assistance to the bereaved family.
Dr Bora said he had met the Chief Minister and requested financial assistance for the victim’s family following the incident. The request was considered promptly, resulting in the sanction of the Rs 2 lakh relief amount.
He assured the family that the administration would continue to extend necessary support and assistance.
