Discussion held on law and order, opportunities for youth, and religious tourism at the programme organized by ‘Friends of UP’

With ‘UP Decade’ as the focal point, youth interacted directly with experts on the development journey of the past decade

Prayagraj, September 2026 : ‘UP Dialogue - Chapter 2’ was organized in Prayagraj on Sunday to discuss the changes, development works, and new opportunities created for youth in Uttar Pradesh over the past decade. More than 200 youth volunteers and participants took part in the programme organized by ‘Friends of UP’. The event featured detailed interactions between experts and youth on various subjects ranging from law and order to the economy, education, employment opportunities, and religious tourism.

The second chapter of ‘UP Dialogue’ focused on ‘UP Decade’ and discussed Uttar Pradesh's development journey over the past ten years. Speakers shared their views on the changes that have taken place in the state as well as the evolving social and economic landscape. The primary objective of the programme was to connect youth with the changes taking place in the state and provide them with a platform where they could directly ask questions to experts from various fields and also express their views.

At the programme, senior advocate Archana Singh interacted with youth on issues related to law and the justice system. She said that the active participation of youth is extremely important for building a safe and empowered future. Referring to various government policies and schemes, she stated that the youth population is deriving significant benefits from them. During her address, Archana Singh called upon young people to remain active in social and public life and to play an aware and responsible role in shaping their future.

At the programme, Arunesh Singh discussed in detail the opportunities available to youth in various fields, including economics, finance, and education. He shared his views on the opportunities opening up before young people amid a changing economy and on future prospects. Prof. Rajesh Kumar Garg also participated in the programme and encouraged youth to move forward. The speakers emphasized that the role of youth in the state's development process is important not only as beneficiaries but also as active participants.

During the ‘UP Decade’ dialogue, special discussion was also held on the growing scope of religious tourism in Uttar Pradesh. The development of the state's religious and cultural heritage and the tourism associated with it was viewed in relation to the local economy and employment opportunities. Along with this, speakers also shared their views on the state's socio-economic transformation and the opportunities that may emerge for youth in the future.

The entire programme was divided into two major dialogue sessions. In the first session, invited experts and speakers presented their views on different subjects. The second session was devoted to a question-and-answer interaction and open dialogue with youth. During this session, participants asked questions on various issues related to law and order, education, employment, the economy, and the development of the state. Youth also shared their views and suggestions with the experts. According to the organizers, the special feature of the programme was that instead of limiting it to speeches by speakers, it was focused on the active participation of youth.

According to ‘Friends of UP’, the objective of ‘UP Dialogue’ is to connect youth with Uttar Pradesh's development journey and advance fact-based dialogue on issues related to policy, development, and society. Through this initiative, efforts are being made to establish direct interaction among youth, experts, and various sections of society.

The organizers stated that ‘UP Dialogue’ is being taken forward as a continuous dialogue series. ‘Chapter 2’, organized in Prayagraj, was part of this series and featured discussions on Uttar Pradesh's past decade, present transformations, and future possibilities, with the participation of a large number of young people.
