Agreement to provide ₹2 lakh accidental insurance assistance to cooks working in schools across Uttar Pradesh

CM presents cashless medical cards, enhanced honorarium cheques and uniform kits to 11 cooks
Lucknow, August 2026 : In the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, an MoU was signed under the Cook Social Security initiative at an event held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. Additional Chief Secretary, Basic/Secondary Education, Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, and SBI Chief General Manager Deepesh Raj exchanged the agreement providing a ₹2 lakh accidental insurance assistance cover for cooks working in schools. A short film highlighting the achievements of the PM POSHAN (Mid-Day Meal) Scheme was also screened during the programme.
The Chief Minister also visited various stalls and took information about the progress of different schemes. Children explained the Nipun Tarazu initiative to him, and he also gave them chocolates. At the Meena Manch stall, girl students requested the Chief Minister to take selfies with them. The CM smiled at their request, following which the girls took selfies with him.
Later, CM Yogi fed kheer to six-month-old Anita and Mohammad Ali with his own hands, performing their annaprashan, and presented them with toys.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath felicitated 11 cooks and presented them with cashless medical cards, uniform kits and cheques for their enhanced honorarium.
