Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh, along with the country, is undergoing rapid transformation and has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing states. He said that Madhya Pradesh was once labelled a ‘BIMARU’ state, but the government has completely overcome that tag. He said, “Challenges existed, but we identified them and transformed them into opportunities for growth. Today, development is taking place across every sector in Madhya Pradesh. We were already ahead in agriculture, and now we are rapidly advancing in industrial development as well.”
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the Global Investors Summit held in Bhopal last year, along with successful Regional Industry Conclaves organised across different regions of the state, helped attract investors and strengthen investor confidence in Madhya Pradesh. He said, “The country is currently passing through the ‘Amrit Kaal of Independence’, with states collectively contributing to the nation’s progress. Whether it is the national river-linking programme or irrigation projects, Madhya Pradesh is working with neighbouring states to find positive solutions to challenges and problems.”
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the Madhya Pradesh Session at the Economic Times World Leaders Forum 2026, held at a private hotel in New Delhi on Saturday. The session was titled ‘Fireside Chat on MP: Unlocking the Heart of India’.

Madhya Pradesh Moving Towards Becoming a Green Manufacturing Hub
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is rapidly moving towards becoming a green manufacturing hub. The state is promoting clean-energy-based industrial development by harnessing its vast potential in solar and wind energy. The availability of reliable and clean energy will drive environmentally sustainable and competitive manufacturing in the future. He said the state government is ensuring the availability of energy, land and infrastructure required by industries while giving priority to clean-energy-based investments. He said this will help Madhya Pradesh emerge as a key player in India’s and the global green economy.
Wide-Ranging Investment Opportunities from Industrial Parks to Semiconductors and Data Centres
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh offers extensive investment opportunities in sectors including textiles and garments, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, engineering, electronics, semiconductors, data centres, food processing and renewable energy. Modern industrial parks being developed across the state are an important step towards providing investors with the infrastructure and facilities required in these sectors. He said a favourable ecosystem is being created for MSMEs, startups and large industries. The state’s industrial policy seeks to provide enterprises of different sizes and sectors with a platform to benefit from both local resources and global markets.
Focus on Faster Approvals and Ease of Doing Business
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the government is prioritising single-window clearances, digital processes, institutional reforms and time-bound approvals for investors. Procedures are being streamlined to expedite investment proposals and ensure timely project implementation.
He said,“We want investors to view Madhya Pradesh not merely as an investment destination, but as a long-term partner in their growth. The government is committed to moving forward hand in hand with investors.”
Strategic Connectivity a Major Strength of Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh’s geographical location connects it with major industrial and consumer markets across the country. Road, rail and air connectivity is being expanded, along with strengthening of logistics infrastructure. Improved connectivity will facilitate the movement of products manufactured in the state to markets across India and around the world. He said this capability would help Madhya Pradesh secure an important position in the supply chains and manufacturing networks of global companies.
Special Focus on Exports and Global Markets
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is placing special emphasis on enhancing export capacity alongside manufacturing. New opportunities are being developed to take textiles, pharmaceuticals, agricultural products, engineering goods and other manufactured products to global markets. He said industrial development, employment generation, export growth and private investment will play a crucial role in achieving the goals of “Samriddh Madhya Pradesh @2047” and “Viksit Bharat @2047.” Madhya Pradesh is continuously expanding its industrial capabilities to achieve these objectives.
Favourable Investment Environment Ready for Investors
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is no longer merely a state known for its natural resources and agriculture. It is emerging as a new hub for modern industry, green energy, technology, innovation and global investment. He said, “We want to make Madhya Pradesh a state where investment flows in, industries are established, youth get employment, and the state economy reaches new heights.” The Chief Minister added that besides large-scale industries, Madhya Pradesh offers extensive opportunities for startups, MSMEs and new enterprises. The government is committed to taking projects from the drawing board to the ground through continuous dialogue and partnerships with investors.
