Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the inaugural session of AIM Congress-2026 in Dubai alongside Heads of State and Government from various countries. He subsequently inaugurated the Madhya Pradesh Pavilion, addressed the “Invest in Madhya Pradesh, India” investment session, and held several important one-on-one and government-level meetings with senior UAE and Russian leadership as well as leading industry groups.
The day began with a media interaction at Taj Dubai in Business Bay, where Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed Madhya Pradesh’s growing economic strength, industrial progress and preparations for the upcoming Global Investors Summit-2027 with investors, industry representatives and global partners.
Madhya Pradesh Pavilion Inaugurated
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the Madhya Pradesh Pavilion set up in the exhibition area of AIM Congress. The pavilion has been developed as a key platform to showcase the state’s investment and trade potential. It highlights Madhya Pradesh’s central location, vast land bank, developed industrial ecosystem, world-class infrastructure, investor-friendly policies and opportunities in manufacturing, textiles, logistics, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, electronics and emerging industries. GI-tagged and ODOP products such as Chanderi, Maheshwari, Zari-Zardozi, bell-metal craft and Gwalior carpets were also showcased at the pavilion.
Meeting with the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah
Before the inaugural ceremony of AIM Congress, the Chief Minister paid a courtesy visit to H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. The meeting covered potential cooperation in ceramics and construction materials, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, tourism and hospitality, food processing, logistics and renewable energy. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also invited him to participate in the Global Investors Summit-2027. Both sides stressed the need for institutional cooperation to promote investment and expand market access.
High-Level Meeting with the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan
In the afternoon, the Chief Minister held a government-level meeting with H.E. Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. The meeting focused on strengthening trade and investment cooperation between Tatarstan and Madhya Pradesh and identifying sector-specific partnerships. The two sides held detailed discussions on potential cooperation in advanced manufacturing, petrochemicals, engineering, logistics, food processing, agriculture, technology and innovation-driven industries. The meeting also covered Madhya Pradesh’s participation in the “TIME: Russia–India” Forum, exchange of business delegations between the two sides, potential joint projects and ensuring Tatarstan’s participation in the Global Investors Summit-2027.
“Invest in Madhya Pradesh, India” Session Draws Attention
The “Invest in Madhya Pradesh, India” investment session held in the afternoon emerged as one of the key highlights of AIM Congress. Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Consul General of India in Dubai, delivered the welcome address, while Madhya Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary Shri Neeraj Mandloi made a detailed presentation on the state’s investment potential. A special film highlighting investment opportunities in the tourism sector was also screened during the session. UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi attended the session as the Chief Guest.
Chief Minister Addresses the Investment Session
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, addressing the investment session, that Madhya Pradesh is not merely a state of opportunities but a hub for long-term, stable and trusted investment partnerships. He said that the state’s policies, intent and leadership have made Madhya Pradesh a preferred destination for investors.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is located at the centre of India and that transportation from the state to any part of the country is possible within 24 to 36 hours. The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, developed road and rail networks and modern logistics facilities make the state a natural hub for manufacturing and distribution. He said Madhya Pradesh is rapidly developing a strong industrial ecosystem in sectors such as agricultural production, food processing, textiles, automobiles, engineering, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications equipment manufacturing, optical fibre, electronics, clean energy and digital manufacturing. The Chief Minister invited investors to participate in the Global Investors Summit-2027, to be held in Bhopal next year.
Meeting with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav met H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Economy and Tourism, following the investment session. The meeting covered civil aviation, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), future-focused institutions, industrial parks and investment cooperation. The two sides discussed potential areas of cooperation between Madhya Pradesh and Tatarstan in advanced manufacturing, petrochemicals, engineering, logistics, food processing, agriculture, technology and innovation-driven industries.
One-on-One Meeting with Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held a separate one-on-one meeting with Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade and Chairman of AIM Congress, in the evening. The meeting focused on strategies to position Madhya Pradesh as the preferred investment destination in Central India for UAE investors. Discussions covered expanding cooperation in food processing, fisheries and aquaculture, cold chains, green energy, logistics, pharmaceuticals, electric vehicles, smart manufacturing and export platforms. Both sides agreed to develop a joint working mechanism for selected investment projects and to organise a Madhya Pradesh-UAE Investment Roundtable in the future.
Important Meeting with Lulu Group Chairman Yusuff Ali
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, in the final engagement of the day, held a detailed one-on-one meeting with Shri Yusuff Ali M.A., Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group International. Lulu Group is a leading retail, hypermarket, food distribution, agricultural exports, logistics and warehousing group in the Middle East, with a global presence spanning more than 250 stores and over 65,000 employees. The meeting discussed opportunities to promote direct procurement of agricultural products such as onions, wheat and vegetables from Madhya Pradesh, as well as opportunities in food processing, supply chains, warehousing, agricultural exports and expansion of retail networks. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s agricultural potential, food-processing infrastructure and export-oriented policies and invited Lulu Group to expand its investments in the state.
Networking with Industry and Investment Community
The day concluded with a special dinner hosted by the Consul General of India in Dubai. The event was attended by senior representatives of the food, logistics, aviation, textiles, industrial manufacturing and business sectors, including Siddharth Balachandran, Chairman of the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC); Nilesh Ved, Chairman of the UAE-India Business Council; Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan, Chairman of the Transworld Group; Yuvraj Narayan, Group Chief Financial Officer of DP World; and Saleem M.A., Group Director of Lulu Group. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted informally with various industry representatives and invited them to become partners in Madhya Pradesh’s development journey.
