Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that an airport would soon be developed in Neemuch. A state-of-the-art stadium would also be constructed to expand sports facilities in the district. More than one lakh recruitments have been made in State over the past two-and-a-half years, while over 3.5 lakh more government posts will be filled in the next two and a half years.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the felicitation programme of the Seva Se Sankalp Campaign organised at Agrawal Bhawan in Neemuch on Sunday. He congratulated Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on completing 25 years of public service and highlighted his contribution to taking the country forward on the path of development.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the Seva Se Sankalp Campaign was being conducted across Madhya Pradesh from September 17 to October 17. Various activities related to service, public participation and public welfare were being organised in all districts under the campaign. He said determination paves the way for strength and development, and the state government was continuously working with this spirit.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appreciated Neemuch’s development, resilience and entrepreneurial spirit. He said the ‘Ashirwad ka Diya’ programme organised on September 17 symbolised the Sanatan tradition and India’s rich cultural heritage.
Significant Increase in State Budget and Employment
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh’s education budget had increased from around ₹5,000 crore to ₹38,000 crore, while the state’s overall budget had risen to ₹4.48 lakh crore. He described the achievement of bringing the dropout rate in primary education down to zero as significant.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the state’s per capita income had risen to more than ₹1.70 lakh, while power generation had crossed 32,000 MW. In 2002, Madhya Pradesh had around five medical colleges, whereas 33 medical colleges are currently operational, offering approximately 8,000 seats.
Airport and State-of-the-Art Stadium Announced for Neemuch
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said more than five lakh kilometres of roads had been constructed in the state over the years, while connectivity between major cities was being improved through expressways. He said the expansion of sports facilities would provide better opportunities for the youth and sporting talent of the district to advance.
Cheetah Project Described as a Significant Achievement for Neemuch
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said a female cheetah was being released in the Khimla area of Neemuch under Project Cheetah. He described this as a significant achievement for the district and said Madhya Pradesh was continuously working towards wildlife and environmental conservation.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said India was among the world’s leading nations and was progressing towards realising the resolve of building a developed India by 2047. He said India was the world’s largest democracy and that the judiciary and constitutional institutions played an important role in the democratic system.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said India had accorded priority to its national interests and the interests of farmers in international trade and agreements. He said, referring to the BRICS Summit, that India’s global role had continued to strengthen and the country was moving forward shoulder to shoulder with major economies.
MLA Shri Dilip Singh Parihar said the Seva Se Sankalp Campaign was launched in the district by lighting more than two lakh lamps. He thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for various development initiatives for Neemuch and for selecting the district under Project Cheetah. MLA Shri Parihar also highlighted the benefits being received by farmers from water supplied by the Gandhi Sagar Dam and the positive changes taking place in the agricultural sector.
MLA Shri Aniruddh Madhav Maru said India was rapidly moving towards becoming a developed and self-reliant nation. Municipal Council President Smt. Swati Chopra and Shri Vandan Khandelwal also addressed the programme.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honoured individuals who had made outstanding contributions under the Seva Se Sankalp Campaign by presenting them with certificates. He appreciated the participation and contribution of citizens, public representatives, officers and employees, and various organisations involved in the campaign.
District Panchayat President Shri Sajjan Singh Chauhan, Ujjain Divisional Commissioner Shri Ashish Singh, Inspector General of Police Shri Rakesh Gupta, public representatives, officials and prominent citizens were present at the programme.
