Promoting Entrepreneurs and Industries Priority of State Government

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said the state government is continuously working to promote industrial development. Tikamgarh district has ample resources for industrial growth, and the need is to convert them into opportunities. He said promoting the businesses and industries of local entrepreneurs is a priority of the state government. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with entrepreneurs in Tikamgarh on Friday under the Chief Minister Jan Vishwas Abhiyan. The Chief Minister said the government is providing basic facilities, uninterrupted power supply, infrastructure and other essential amenities for industrial development. He said improved connectivity between Jhansi, Jatara and Tikamgarh would also strengthen the district’s links with other states.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, urging entrepreneurs to explore new opportunities,“Set up hotels, homestays and industrial parks and avail the subsidies being provided by the state government.” He said that Tikamgarh has immense potential for religious tourism and that Kundeshwar Dham would be developed on the lines of Mahakal Lok. A team of Tourism Department officials would soon be sent to the area. The Chief Minister encouraged entrepreneurs to establish homestays around Kundeshwar, which would provide accommodation to pilgrims while creating additional sources of income for local people.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was informed that a ₹1.99-crore plan has been proposed to promote the famous traditional bell-metal and brass craft of Dharampur in Tikamgarh district. The Chief Minister said that the traditional craft should not remain confined to heritage and tradition but should be linked with modern infrastructure, artisan empowerment, employment generation and market expansion. Around 6.99 hectares of land in Dharampura has already been transferred to the MSME Department for promoting the brass craft sector.

Entrepreneurs Offer Suggestions

Entrepreneur Gaurav Jain said Bundelkhand has immense tourism potential. He suggested developing Orchha, Khajuraho and Tikamgarh as three major tourism destinations and creating an integrated tourist circuit. The Chief Minister also proposed developing Tikamgarh as a major centre for religious tourism and Kundeshwar Lok on the lines of Mahakal Lok. He further suggested developing Tikamgarh Fort, Mohangarh Fort and Baldeogarh Fort.

Entrepreneur Rajesh Sahu, who operates a groundnut processing unit, said his business was performing well and that he had received a government subsidy of ₹4 crore. Srishti Mishra, who runs the Swastik Masala manufacturing unit, said her business was progressing well and that she had received a subsidy of ₹4 lakh from the government.

Entrepreneur Raj Parmar said he was receiving good support from the government departments and faced no difficulties in their functioning. He informed the Chief Minister about plans to establish a unit in Jatara and requested road connectivity to the highway. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the Collector to ensure prompt action on the road connectivity request. The unit currently employs around 500 people.

Entrepreneur Sunita Raj Bundela, who is engaged in seed production, said her work was progressing well. She also highlighted honey production through farmers, generating an average income of around ₹50,000 per farmer. She also shared plans to establish an oil mill.

During the interaction, Collector Vivek Shrotriya gave a PowerPoint presentation on proposed industrial development projects in the district.

Ashish Sharma of Swastik Enterprises, a food-processing unit, said the company had been working in the food-processing sector for the past seven years and had expanded its reach across large parts of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. He added that the company delivers food products across India through online platforms.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare and De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Welfare and Tikamgarh district in-charge Minister Smt. Krishna Gaur, Smt. Saroj Rajput, Jatara MLA Shri Harishankar Khatik, former Prithvipur MLA Dr. Shishupal Singh Yadav and other public representatives were present.

Chief Secretary Shri Ashok Barnwal, Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Sudam Khade, Commissioner, Public Relations, Shri Manish Singh and concerned officials were also present.
