High-Level Dialogue Held with Public Affairs Forum of India (PAFI) RepresentativesIndustry-Friendly Policies and Investment Opportunities HighlightedGroundbreaking Completed for Projects Worth Over ₹8 Lakh Crore; More Than 30 Sector-Specific Policies Driving Industrial Growth
Jaipur, July 2026: Rajasthan is rapidly emerging as the “Land of Opportunities,” with the state government placing the highest priority on industrial development, investment, and employment generation, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas said during a high-level interaction with representatives of the Public Affairs Forum of India (PAFI) at the State Secretariat on Saturday.
During the meeting, officials from the Department of Industries and Commerce presented a detailed overview of Rajasthan’s industrial progress, investment potential, infrastructure, and investor-friendly policies.
The Chief Secretary said Rajasthan offers tremendous investment opportunities, particularly in renewable energy, semiconductors, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI-ML), data centres, defence manufacturing, logistics, tourism, textiles, and other emerging sectors. He noted that the state’s strategic geographical location, extensive national highway network, connectivity to the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), and the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) provide investors with a significant competitive advantage.
Srinivas said groundwork has already begun for projects worth more than ₹8 lakh crore, while work is progressing rapidly to commence implementation of other projects covered under signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). Over the past two-and-a-half years, 40 new industrial areas have been developed, with an average of one new industrial park being established every three weeks. He added that approximately six industrial plots are being allotted every day, ensuring quick land availability for investors.
He further said the state government has implemented more than 30 sector-specific policies to create a favourable ecosystem for industries. Under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) 2024, investors are being offered reimbursement of state taxes, capital subsidies, and several other attractive incentives, making investment in Rajasthan increasingly competitive.
Highlighting opportunities under the Private Industrial Park Promotion Policy 2026, the Chief Secretary said modern industrial parks are being developed through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models with active participation from the private sector. He invited eligible investors to submit applications by July 31, 2026.
Srinivas also highlighted the state’s governance reforms aimed at simplifying business operations. Through deregulation measures and a streamlined approval process, the government has made industrial clearances significantly easier. A total of 190 services are now available online through the Single Window System, the timeline for land-use conversion has been reduced to 30 days, approvals for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been expedited, and reforms such as 24×7 industrial and commercial operations have been introduced to improve the ease of doing business.
The Chief Secretary invited PAFI representatives to actively participate in the Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas, scheduled for December 2026, as well as the proposed Reverse Buyer-Seller Meets in Jaipur and Udaipur. He said these events would create new business opportunities by connecting global investors with Rajasthan’s industrial community.
Addressing the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries, MSMEs and Public Enterprises, and RIICO Chairman Shikhar Agrawal said Rajasthan is rapidly strengthening its position as one of India’s leading industrial destinations through investor-friendly policies, world-class industrial infrastructure developed by the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), joint ventures, partnership-based development models, and export promotion initiatives.
He said approvals worth ₹3,200 crore have been granted for the development of various industrial areas, while policy reforms are being continuously undertaken to meet the evolving needs of industry.
Ravi Kumar Surpur, Secretary of the Planning, Manpower, Gazetteers and Statistics Department, highlighted the state’s Startup Policy, Data Centre Policy, Innovation Hubs, and the Hub-and-Spoke Model, which are designed to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among young people. He said the state government is strengthening the startup ecosystem to generate new employment and business opportunities for youth.
During the interaction, representatives from PAFI and the industry also offered several suggestions for further promoting investment in Rajasthan. The Chief Secretary assured them that the proposals would be examined positively and acted upon in a time-bound manner.
Senior officials from the Departments of Industries and Commerce, RIICO, Planning, and other related departments, along with office-bearers and members of PAFI, were present at the meeting.
