Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that real success of a student lies not merely in securing good marks or certificates, but in values, humility, discipline and personality. Students should be encouraged by success, but should not allow arrogance to enter their minds. Instead of becoming disappointed by failure, they should understand its reasons, learn from it and make their future better. A player who enters the field may sometimes lose and sometimes win. One who dreams of winning and has the courage to face challenges is a true player. Those who avoid struggles never succeed in life. There is no need to fear difficulties and challenges in life. Success is achieved through struggle, patience and determination.
God has given every person limited and valuable time. Students should make good use of it and move towards their goals with complete honesty. Hard work done today will become the foundation of greater success tomorrow. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the state-level fund transfer programme under the ‘Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana’ organised at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in Bhopal on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the state-level programme at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Through a single click, Chief Minister transferred more than Rs 304 crore 98 lakh 50 thousand to bank accounts of around 1.22 lakh meritorious students of Madhya Pradesh for purchase of laptops. Each eligible student was provided an incentive amount of Rs 25,000. Under scheme, students who secured 75 per cent or more marks in Class 12 examination of Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education in their first attempt were covered.
Laptop is Gateway to Knowledge and Possibilities
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav told students that a laptop is not merely an electronic device, but a gateway to knowledge, research, innovation and new possibilities for future. Students should use it for online studies, digital study material, e-library, research and preparation for competitive examinations. By expanding their knowledge through technology, students should resolve to achieve their set goals.
He said every student certainly possesses some special talent. Just as a sculptor identifies a statue hidden inside a stone and removes unnecessary portions, teachers identify talent in students and shape their personalities. Parents and teachers play an important role in students’ success through their sacrifice, hard work and guidance.
Government School Students Bringing Pride to State
Congratulating students, teachers and parents for outstanding performance in board examinations, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said students of government schools in state are continuously achieving notable accomplishments. Increasing participation of government school students in merit lists is proof of teachers’ hard work and positive changes taking place in education system.
He said state government is providing students facilities such as textbooks, uniforms, bicycles, scooters, scholarships and laptops. Government is making efforts to ensure that financial constraints do not become an obstacle in dreams of any talented student. Every child in state should be able to become a doctor, engineer, advocate, scientist, officer, entrepreneur or pursue any field of choice on basis of their ability.
Comprehensive Provision for Education in Budget
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the state government considers education an investment in future of state. In financial year 2026-27 budget, Rs 36,730 crore has been provided for School Education Department, Rs 4,247 crore for Higher Education Department and Rs 2,932 crore for Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Department.
Schools, colleges, technical educational institutions and medical colleges are being expanded in state. With continuous increase in medical colleges and seats in medical education, students of state are getting greater opportunities to pursue medical education within state. Recruitment to government posts for youth is also being conducted continuously and transparently.
Second Board Examination Provides New Opportunity for Improvement
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said earlier, if students did not achieve expected results in board examinations, their entire academic year was affected. In interest of students, an opportunity for a second main examination has now been provided in Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. Students can improve their marks and, even after failing, make another attempt without losing an academic year. This arrangement provides students a new opportunity to move forward by protecting them from disappointment.
Education and Students Given Highest Priority
Referring to previous governments, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said expected expansion of educational institutions and opportunities available to students could not take place during that period. Present state government has undertaken extensive expansion of infrastructure, budget and institutions from school education to higher, technical and medical education.
He said under leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India’s respect and stature in world are continuously increasing. Country’s youth power, democratic system and strong leadership have opened new possibilities for India. Madhya Pradesh government is also working by making education, skills, technology and employment the foundation for building future of youth.
Government School Principals, Teachers and Scholars Honoured on Guru Purnima
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the country wants to see its youth progress. India is moving forward under leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi. State government is also moving alongside this development journey. Knowledge and skills are two friends of students on path to success.
The state government honoured principals, teachers and scholars of government schools that achieved 100 per cent examination results in board examinations on occasion of Guru Purnima. He said moving ahead in life requires resolve and determination. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inspired students to set big goals and work hard to achieve them.
State Government Sets Target of 55 Medical Colleges and 10,000 UG Seats by 2028
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the state government is committed to improving school education. Children are being provided free textbooks, uniforms, bicycles, laptops and scooters. There was a time in government schools of state when even arrangements for children to sit in schools were not available.
Our government has started opening new medical colleges at a rapid pace. After Independence, there were only five medical colleges in state in 55 years. Now, including private and government institutions, there are 33 medical colleges. There are currently more than 6,500 MBBS seats in state. State government has set a target of 55 medical colleges and 10,000 UG seats by 2028.
State Budget Raised to Rs 4.38 Lakh Crore Without Imposing Any New Tax
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the state government has increased state budget to Rs 4.38 lakh crore without imposing any new tax. Of this, Rs 36,730 crore is being spent on school education, Rs 24,000 crore on medical education, Rs 4,200 crore on higher education and Rs 2,932 crore on technical education.
Recruitment to vacant posts in all departments is continuing. By providing benefits of promotions to officers and employees, state government is fulfilling its responsibilities. He said absence of promotion can cause disappointment in life. Our government has cleared the way for promotions that had been pending for years. Promotions have created an atmosphere of happiness, enthusiasm and positivity among employees of all departments.
CM Dr. Yadav Interacts with Students
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with meritorious students about their dreams for future. Meritorious student Bundela said he wanted to become a successful politician and serve country and state. A girl student said youth need skills in present times and that they should work tirelessly to fulfil their dreams.
A student pursuing accountancy said the laptop would be very helpful in online education. Tanvi Kumawat, a student pursuing MBBS, said she wanted to become a doctor and serve needy people. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav wished all students a bright future and said, “If you LEARN today, you will EARN tomorrow.” He said these laptops would certainly prove to be an important aid in studies.
Enrolment in Government Schools has Been Rising for Three Years
School Education Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh said education system in state is improving under leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Laptop assistance is being provided to meritorious students who secure 75 per cent or more marks in Class 12 in their first attempt, to connect them with modern technology. Number of children receiving laptops is increasing every year.
Enrolment rate in government schools of state has been increasing for last three years. Due to efforts of government, school children’s dropout rate has become zero. These laptops will make students’ college studies easier and more digital. Digitisation has been encouraged under New Education Policy.
Under Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana, a total of around 6.5 lakh students have so far received Rs 1,620 crore in their accounts for purchase of laptops. Recruitment process for around 18,000 vacant teacher posts is underway in state. Our children will lead a developed India in 2047.
Tribal Affairs Minister Shri Kunwar Vijay Shah said Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana has now grown into a banyan tree. Funds for purchase of laptops are being continuously distributed to meritorious students. Under leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, government is benefiting people across state through its schemes.
