Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Swami Shri Chinmayanandji Maharaj was a great saint, thinker and spiritual luminary. It has been 75 years since Chinmaya Amrit Yatra was launched under his guidance to take Indian culture, particularly Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, to people across the country. Contribution of Swami Chinmayanandji towards moral development of Indian society and youth, and promotion and propagation of our cultural heritage, the Gita, will always remain memorable in our hearts.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Swami Chinmayanand Mission is carrying out important work across the country, including establishment of several schools, colleges and universities, as well as establishment of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and strengthening our social traditions. Appreciating all initiatives undertaken by the mission on behalf of Madhya Pradesh Government, Chief Minister said that all of us will endeavour to follow righteous path shown by Swami Chinmayanandji. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a gathering on Friday on the occasion of departure of Chinmaya Amrit Yatra from Bhopal. Swami Shri Mitranand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, Head (Patron) of Swami Chinmayanand Mission, and other followers of mission were also present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav flagged off Chinmaya Amrit Yatra, being organised by Chinmaya Amrit Vahini, an affiliated organisation of Swami Chinmayanand Mission, from Chief Minister's residence with a saffron flag for its next destination, Jhansi. The yatra started from Chhattisgarh, entered Madhya Pradesh and reached Bhopal via Rewa, Satna, Betul and Narmadapuram. It will now proceed to Jhansi and continue its journey thereafter. Previous Chinmaya Amrit Yatra had passed through Khandwa and Indore cities of the state. After flagging off yatra, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended best wishes on behalf of Madhya Pradesh Government for all social campaigns being conducted by Swami Chinmayanand Mission.
