Chief Minister Instructs 36 Picu Nurses And 19 Substitute Staff To Resume Duties
Aizawl : Today, Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma directed 36 nurses working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and their 19 substitutes, who had completed their duties last September, to resume work. The Chief Minister emphasized the critical need for their services due to the overwhelming number of ICU cases, making it impossible to manage without them. Principal Director of Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Vanlalsawma, was also instructed to ensure the continuation of their services.
These PICU units were initially established under the Emergency COVID Response Plan 2 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
