Chitwadongri, famous for archaeological rock paintings, is becoming a major tourist center
The small caves situated between the big rocks in Chitvadongri and the ancient rock paintings engraved on them highlight its historicity. To protect these rock paintings, the forest department has surrounded it with wires. For the convenience of tourists, the district administration has made many efforts to develop Chitvadongri as a tourist destination. Sitting arrangements, solar lights, pure drinking water, toilets and eco-friendly paths have been made here. Along with this, tree plantation has also been done, which has made this place more attractive.
Tourists from all over the country are coming here to see the beauty and historical importance of this area. Chitwadongri has now become one of the major archaeological tourist places of Balod district, where visitors get to see a unique confluence of history and nature.
