Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Offers Prayers to Goddess Durga
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, along with his wife Mrs. Kaushalya Sai, performed prayers and rituals at the Durga Temple in his native village Bagiya, located in Jashpur district. On this auspicious occasion, the Chief Minister and his family offered their prayers to Goddess Durga, seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for the people of Chhattisgarh.
Following the traditional rituals, Chief Minister Sai and Mrs. Kaushalya Sai lovingly served meals to young girls, honoring them as a part of the sacred Kanya Pujan ritual and receiving their blessings.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sai emphasized that worshipping and respecting young girls during Ram Navami is a reflection of our deep cultural values. He added that such practices also resonate with national initiatives like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child), reinforcing the message that girls are not only the pride of families but also the foundation of a progressive nation. Their respect, protection, and empowerment are essential to the nation’s overall development.
