To promote innovation and entrepreneurship, Chhattisgarh has gained a new recognition at the national level. At the Fourth India Entrepreneurship Summit organized today in New Delhi, NIT Raipur FIE (Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship) was honored with the prestigious ‘Bharat Incubator Award’. NIT Raipur FIE received this award for its remarkable contribution to the start-up and innovation ecosystem in the country.

The Fourth India Entrepreneurship Summit was organized in New Delhi by the Entrepreneurs Association of India and Enterprising Zone-EZ. The chief guest of the program, Shri Maninder Singh Sirsa, Cabinet Minister of the Delhi Government, presented the ‘Bharat Incubator Award’ to Dr. Anuj Kumar Shukla, Faculty In-charge of NIT Raipur FIE. In the same program, two other start-ups associated with Chhattisgarh, Ras Luxury Oils and Atmik Bharat, were also honored in the start-up category. Both these start-ups have been developed at the incubation center of NIT Raipur FIE.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated NIT Raipur on this achievement, saying that NIT Raipur FIE has done exemplary work in promoting innovation. This institution is establishing Chhattisgarh as a strong center in the field of entrepreneurship and technological development. The honor received by NIT Raipur FIE is proof of the state’s economic growth and Chhattisgarh’s contribution to the country’s start-up ecosystem. The Chief Minister also congratulated Ras Luxury Oils and Atmik Bharat for their achievements.

Director of NIT Raipur, Dr. N.V. Ramana Rao, expressing happiness on this honor, said that this award recognizes our vision of converting innovation into real business solutions. Congratulating the entire team of FIE, he said that this achievement not only encourages technology-based start-ups but also inspires India to become a global innovation hub.

NIT Raipur FIE was established in 2021. It is working as the Technology Business Incubator of NIT Raipur as a non-profit company. Under the NIDHI-TBI program of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, it has supported more than 30 start-ups. Among these start-ups, special focus has been given to cleantech, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and multidisciplinary technology integration.

NIT Raipur FIE is being operated under the leadership of Dr. Suresh Havre, Chairman of NIT Raipur, Dr. N.V. Ramana Rao, Director, and Dr. Sameer Bajpai, Head of the Career Development Center. In its operational team, Dr. Anuj Kumar Shukla, Faculty In-charge, Shri Pawan Kataria, Officer In-charge, and Mrs. Megha Singh, CEO are playing active roles.

NIT Raipur FIE has played an effective role in bringing technological innovations to the grassroots level. The ‘Bharat Incubator Award’ received by FIE is not only recognition of its achievements but also an indication that Chhattisgarh is now firmly establishing its presence on the country’s start-up map. This achievement deeply underlines Chhattisgarh’s role in realizing the vision of technological prosperity and Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
