Grand Celebration of Vande Mataram@150 Held in Ganganagar
A grand district-level celebration of “Vande Mataram@150” was organized on Saturday in Sri Ganganagar to mark 150 years of the creation of the national song “Vande Mataram.” On this occasion, Food & Civil Supplies Minister and District In-charge Minister Shri Sumit Godara highlighted the glorious history of the national song and the contributions of great personalities associated with it.
Speaking at the event, the District In-charge Minister said that Vande Mataram is a symbol of India’s national consciousness and unity. Calling it an emblem of national pride, he said the “Vande Mataram@150” district program has filled everyone with a profound sense of patriotism. In his address, he shed light on the 150-year legacy of the national song, which binds the nation together, and on the contributions of freedom fighters during the independence movement. He also urged citizens to embrace swadeshi in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India.
Earlier, the District In-charge Minister, Sadulshahar MLA Shri Gurveer Barad, District Collector Dr. Manju, SP Dr. Amrita Duhan, former MLA Shri Balveer Luthra, and others paid floral tributes to the martyrs at Bhagat Singh Chowk. The guests also flagged off the rally to formally commence the celebrations.
