KVK Siaha Conducts “Viksit Bharat – G RAM G” Awareness Programme

Siaha, January 2026: KVK Siaha organized the “Viksit Bharat – G RAM G” Awareness Programme recently. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Pi J. Vanlalhluzuali, Subject Matter Specialist (Agricultural Extension), and participants received detailed information and practical demonstrations during the session.

Pu H. Malsawma, Village Council President of New Siaha ‘E’, spoke about the implementation of MNREGS (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme) and highlighted the importance of proper planning and execution. The participants were informed about how the programme can be effectively used to benefit the community and strengthen governance.

Pi S. Sisi, Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture), elaborated on the objectives and benefits of the “Viksit Bharat – G RAM G” initiative. Participants gained in-depth knowledge about modern agricultural practices, horticultural techniques, and how to link MNREGS activities to overall rural development and livelihood enhancement.

The event saw active participation from members of the Young Lai Association (YLA), New Siaha E II, including the President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Members of MTP College Vaih II. Pu Lalhmingmawia, Secretary of YLA New Siaha E II, delivered the concluding remarks, emphasizing the importance of awareness and community involvement in rural development programmes.

The programme successfully combined educational content, practical demonstrations, and community engagement, aiming to empower participants with knowledge and skills for sustainable development in agriculture and allied sectors.
