Netanyahu Adviser Caroline Glick Tasked With ‘Relocating’ Gazans.

Jerusalem; April 2026: Caroline Glick, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s international affairs adviser, was tasked with advancing the “migration” of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, as per  Israeli official source. Glick, who was a far-right journalist and US native, was appointed to her post last year.

The Israeli source has further stated that, among other efforts, Glick approached Somaliland, which Israel was the first to recognise as an independent state, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), to advance the transfer of Gaza residents there, but was unsuccessful, with further adding that following the plans announced last year by US President Donald Trump to establish a “Gaza Riviera”, under which the US assumes control of Gaza following the permanent displacement of the Strip’s residents to other locations, Glick held presentations on the matter to officials at the US Embassy in Israel.

A diplomatic release in the early 2025, assessed that through “connections at various levels in both Israel and the US”, Glick tried to “translate the Trump plan to a concrete action plan, assuming that Trump had outlined the vision and direction, and now it was up to the Israelis to develop detailed plans and begin implementing them”.

On her X handle, Glick has defined her position as “International Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister of Israel”, who was appointed to her role ahead of Netanyahu’s visit to the White House in February 2025, shortly after the start of Trump’s second term in office. At a press conference during the visit, Trump said the US “will take over the Gaza Strip” and turn it into the “Riviera of the Middle East”. He added that Palestinian residents would be resettled in other countries, such as Jordan and Egypt, an idea that never materialised due to strong opposition from both countries, and because no other country agreed to accept large numbers of Gaza residents.

At the present moment in 2026, Glick’s responsibilities have not been publicly disclosed, and it remains unclear whether she is still involved in efforts to promote the transfer of Palestinians from Gaza. Glick declined to respond to Haaretz’s questions on the matter. The Prime Minister’s Office did not provide a response. Before her appointment, Glick was a journalist, columnist and blogger. Over the years, she wrote for Israeli outlets Makor Rishon and Israel Hayom, as well as American right-wing website Breitbart, and served as deputy editor of the Jerusalem Post.

In 2014, she published a book titled “The Israeli Solution: A One-State Plan for Peace in the Middle East,” in which she disputes Palestinian demographic statistics – saying the number of Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza Strip is grossly exaggerated.

Glick had previously peddled conspiracy theories regarding an Israeli “deep state” and, according to an official report in April 2025 had lobbied Trump’s White House to impose sanctions on civil society groups opposed to Netanyahu’s judicial coup.

Earlier, in 2019, Glick ran for the Knesset with the Hayemin Hahadash party headed by Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked, but the list did not pass the electoral threshold.

In March 2025, Israel’s political leadership decided to “ease” travel restrictions on Palestinians living in Gaza, to allow them to leave the Strip. Israel’s security cabinet also approved the establishment of a “Voluntary Emigration Bureau for Gaza residents interested in relocating to third countries” within the defense ministry. Very little is known about its activities; it is headed by Kobi Blitstein, deputy director general of the ministry.

Last month, the Associated Press reported that the right-wing organisation “Ad Kan” was behind at least three flights that transported hundreds of Gazans to South Africa and Indonesia over the past year. According to the investigation, the flights were organized through a third party, the non-profit Al-Majd, to obscure ties to Israel. A Israeli report in November similarly found that hundreds of Palestinians left the Gaza Strip on charter flights departing from Ramon Airport near Eilat to destinations around the world.

The Israeli report further stated that Israel’s Defense Ministry, via the Voluntary Emigration Bureau, referred Al-Majd to coordinate the departures with the army’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories. Al-Majd presents itself as a humanitarian organisation providing aid to Muslim communities in conflict zones. However, the group is run by Tomer Janar Lind, a dual Israeli-Estonian national.
