CM Lalduhoma Provides Relief to Victims Affected by Storm and Heavy Rains

Serchhip, May 2026: Chief Minister Lalduhoma today distributed relief assistance to people affected by a severe storm and heavy rains in Thenzawl, within his constituency. The aid was provided from the SDRF and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He also personally visited the affected areas in Kanan Veng and Tualvungi Veng localities of Thenzawl.

On the evening of April 27, a powerful storm accompanied by heavy rainfall caused significant damage in Thenzawl. As a result, 8 houses were rendered completely uninhabitable. In addition, 9 houses suffered severe damage, while 54 others sustained partial damage. A total of 13 government and community buildings were also affected, along with 15 fallen electric poles reported in the area.
