Rural Women Jaya and Sita Bai Delighted After Receiving Rs 12,000 Incentive for Toilet Construction During Good Governance Festival
Dream of Building Toilets in Their Homes Finally Fulfilled
Balod, May 2026 : Rural women Mrs. Jaya Chakradhari and Sita Bai from Narratola village in Dondi development block were overjoyed after receiving an incentive amount of Rs 12,000 each for toilet construction under the Swachh Bharat Mission during the Su-Shasan Tihar 2026 organised by the state government.
During the public grievance redressal camp organised in their village Narratola today, both women appeared extremely happy after receiving the incentive amount from the guests present at the event.
They said that during the grievance redressal camp organised in their village under Su-Shasan Tihar 2026, their long-cherished dream of constructing toilets in their homes had finally been fulfilled after receiving the Rs 12,000 incentive for toilet construction.
They highly appreciated the organisation of Su-Shasan Tihar 2026 initiated by the state government to reach out to common people and provide them benefits of various public welfare schemes.
Mrs. Jaya Chakradhari said that she had long wished to build a clean and proper toilet in her home. However, due to the poor financial condition of her family, she was unable to do so despite her desire.
“But today, during the grievance redressal camp organised in our village under Su-Shasan Tihar, I received Rs 12,000 as an incentive for toilet construction, and my long-pending wish has finally come true,” she said happily.
Similarly, Sita Bai, another resident of Narratola village, looked deeply emotional and grateful after receiving the same incentive amount for toilet construction during the camp.
She said that in today’s time, having a toilet in every home is extremely essential, especially for women. However, due to poor economic conditions, lower middle-class families like theirs are often unable to build proper toilets in their homes even if they wish to.
“But today, due to the sensitivity and concern shown by the Central and State governments, we have received incentive assistance for toilet construction. Now, through this support, we will be able to build suitable toilets in our homes according to our needs and wishes,” she said.
She expressed heartfelt gratitude to both the Central and State governments for extending financial support for toilet construction and praised the organisation of Su-Shasan Tihar across the state, including in her district and village, for effectively addressing the demands and problems of the common people.
