‘Kas Kay?’ Campaign Launched by CM Devendra Fadnavis to Promote ‘My Village, Healthy Village’ Initiative

Mumbai, May 2026 : The Maharashtra government on Tuesday launched a special awareness campaign titled “Kas Kay?” to promote its ambitious “Maza Gaon, Arogya Sampann Gaon” (My Village, Healthy Village) initiative. The campaign was formally launched by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during a Cabinet meeting in Mumbai.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also released an awareness song titled “Kas Kay?” along with campaign posters. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Public Health Minister Prakash Abitkar, and other cabinet ministers.

The initiative aims to create a new wave of health awareness in rural Maharashtra by encouraging community participation and promoting preventive healthcare practices. The “Maza Gaon, Arogya Sampann Gaon” campaign is being implemented under the leadership of Public Health Minister Prakash Abitkar and Minister of State Meghna Sakore-Bordikar. Senior officials, including Public Health Department Principal Secretary Dr. Nipun Vinayak, were also present at the event.

Through the “Kas Kay?” campaign, the government seeks to deliver a strong and engaging message on cleanliness, nutrition, healthy lifestyle, and grassroots health empowerment. Officials said the initiative highlights the importance of public participation in building healthier villages.

The Cabinet expressed confidence that the “Kas Kay?” song would go beyond being just a promotional track and become a symbol of health awareness across rural Maharashtra.

The “Maza Gaon, Arogya Sampann Gaon” initiative has been launched with the objective of making rural areas of the state cleaner, healthier, and more resilient. The campaign places special emphasis on preventive healthcare rather than treatment, aiming to bring positive behavioural and social change at the village level.

To effectively communicate this message, the “Kas Kay?” song has been specially created. The song incorporates elements of rural culture, local language, and everyday conversations, making it relatable and easily acceptable to the general public.

Officials said this initiative represents an innovative effort by the government to transform the vision of a healthy Maharashtra into a people’s movement, driven by awareness, participation, and community engagement.
