Patna, June 2026: Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today participated in the “Sahyog Camp” programme organized under the theme “Sabka Samman, Jeevan Aasaan” in Samas Buzurg Panchayat under Barbigha Block of Sheikhpura district for the quick and effective resolution of public grievances.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the programme by lighting a ceremonial lamp. District Magistrate Shekhar Anand welcomed him by presenting a bouquet and memento.
The “Sahyog Camp Programme” is being organized in all panchayats of Bihar on the first and third Tuesdays of every month from May 19, 2026, under the “Sabka Samman, Jeevan Aasaan” component of the Saat Nischay Yojana–3, aimed at ensuring prompt and effective resolution of citizens’ problems.
The Chief Minister inspected stalls set up by various departments, including the Panchayati Raj Department, Energy Department, Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Food and Consumer Protection Department, Home Department, Social Welfare Department, Rural Development Department, and Health Department. During the inspection, he personally listened to the grievances of people attending the camp, accepted their applications, and forwarded them to the concerned officials.
Officials informed him about the number of applications received through the camp, their disposal status, and reasons for pending or rejected applications.
During the programme, the Chief Minister remotely unveiled foundation plaques and inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 62 development schemes worth over ₹50 crore in Sheikhpura district. These included the inauguration of 51 schemes and the foundation laying of 11 schemes.
He also distributed benefits to beneficiaries, including settlement land certificates, ration cards, symbolic cheques for approved toilet construction assistance, Ayushman Cards, and other welfare benefits.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the main objective of the Sahyog Camp is to ensure that people’s problems are resolved and their grievances addressed at their doorstep. He said citizens should not have to make repeated visits to government offices for justice, and that the government and officials themselves would reach the people through these camps.
Referring to his visit to Vishnu Dham Temple, he said that the renovation work had been initiated by former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He assured people that the government would provide whatever funds are required for the beautification and construction work of the temple and would continue promoting Bihar’s cultural heritage.
The Chief Minister stated that according to reports received, around 91 percent of applications submitted so far had already been disposed of. Beneficiaries had been provided land certificates, toilet construction assistance, Ayushman Cards, and other benefits.
He assured all 14 crore residents of Bihar that their grievances would be addressed through the Sahyog Camp programme and that people would no longer need to repeatedly visit government offices. Similar arrangements would soon be introduced in urban local bodies as well.
He explained that if no action is taken on an application within ten days, a notice is issued from the Chief Minister’s Office on the eleventh day. Further notices are issued on the 21st and 25th days if action remains pending. If an application is not resolved within thirty days, the concerned official is automatically suspended. He described this as a first-of-its-kind arrangement in the country.
The Chief Minister praised Narendra Modi for working continuously toward a developed India and said that the dream of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was to make Bihar prosperous. He stated that his government was working to fulfill that vision.
He said model schools were being established across Bihar and that efforts were being made to create institutions where even the children of leaders and officials would be eager to study. Education, he said, is the key to bringing people into the mainstream and ensuring Bihar’s prosperity.
Speaking about electricity, he noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had initiated the effort to bring power to every village, while Nitish Kumar had worked to ensure electricity reached every household. Bihar now provides 125 units of free electricity to domestic consumers. He also referred to the Prime Minister’s solar rooftop initiative, under which solar panels would be installed on rooftops to provide free electricity benefits for years to come.
The Chief Minister emphasized that maintaining the rule of law remains the government’s priority. He said police action is not influenced by caste or religion and that anyone committing a crime would face action.
Addressing healthcare concerns in Sheikhpura, he assured residents that during his next visit to the district, the foundation stone of a Medical College and Hospital would be laid. He said the government was working to end the practice of unnecessary referrals from sub-divisional and district hospitals. By August 15, a complete system would be in place to prevent unnecessary referrals. Only serious patients would be referred to large government hospitals, and strict action would be taken against doctors who unnecessarily refer ordinary patients.
On teacher transfers, he announced that within June, women teachers would be posted in panchayats near their home panchayats, while male teachers would be posted in schools near their home blocks. The objective, he said, was to reduce difficulties for teachers and ensure quality education for children.
The Chief Minister further stated that township development projects were underway in 11 districts of Bihar. Work would also begin next year on a new township between Sheikhpura and Barbigha. A new road connecting Buxar and Bhagalpur was also under planning through Buxar, Jagdishpur, Arwal, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Rajgir, Sheikhpura, and Jamui.
Regarding women’s employment, he said women who had not yet received assistance under the Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme should apply immediately, and funds would be transferred to their accounts within one month.
To promote animal husbandry alongside agriculture, the government has set a target of providing subsidized assistance for cattle rearing to 25 lakh people by the next financial year, helping increase both farmers’ income and milk production.
He informed the gathering that around 3,800 applications had been received through the Sahyog Camp programme up to the previous day, of which more than 3,500 had already been resolved. Applications received today would be disposed of within the next 30 days.
