God Incarnates to Destroy Unrighteousness and Establish Dharma

Lucknow is the City of Prince Lakshman, Not of Nawabs: Rambhadracharya

▪️ Raises Questions on the Indian Constitution, Explains the Concept of Divine Incarnations

Lucknow, June 2026 : The entire venue resonated with devotion on the third day of the Shri Ram Katha as the powerful discourse of world-renowned saint, Padma Vibhushan awardee and Tulsi Peethadheeshwar, Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya, immersed devotees in the spirit of Lord Ram. Thousands of devotees gathered as chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Jai Jai Hanuman” filled the atmosphere.

On the occasion, Uttar Pradesh Minister for Agricultural Marketing and Horticulture Dinesh Pratap Singh, former minister and Legislative Council member Dr Mahendra Singh, MLA Dr Neeraj Bora, Padma Shri awardee Malini Awasthi, Vice Chairman of UP Cooperative Union Braj Kishore Gupta and several distinguished guests received blessings from the dais.

During the musical Shri Ram Katha being held at the Brij Ki Rasoi premises on Sitapur Road, Rambhadracharya described the glory of divine incarnations and said that whenever injustice and unrighteousness increase in the world, God incarnates to protect the righteous, destroy evil forces, and re-establish dharma.

He said that the incarnation of Lord Ram was also for this very purpose. By destroying injustice and unrighteousness, Lord Ram established truth, morality, and righteousness. He added that Lord Ram’s life was not merely that of a prince but a beacon of ideals, inspiration, and duty for all humanity.

Speaking about various incarnations of God, he said that each incarnation was intended to provide new direction to society, eliminate demonic forces, and establish divine values. According to him, the concept of incarnation in Indian culture conveys the message of public welfare, justice, and the establishment of dharma.

Referring to Lucknow’s cultural identity, Rambhadracharya said that the city is known not because of the Nawabs but because of Prince Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Ram. He remarked that Lucknow is the city of Lakshman and not of the Nawabs. He also referred to the tradition of “Bada Mangal” and the large community feasts organised in the city, saying that Lucknow holds a unique place in the country due to its religious and cultural heritage.

In his address, he also raised questions regarding the Indian Constitution. He stated that instead of the phrase “India, that is Bharat,” it should have been “Bharat, that is India.” He further claimed that half of the Constitution’s framers were illiterate and that the Indian Constitution was prepared by combining elements from the constitutions of Britain, the United States, Germany, and France. He also said that the Manusmriti finds no mention in the Constitution, despite Manu being regarded by some traditions as the first lawgiver.

During the discourse, Rambhadracharya also rendered devotional songs in his distinctive emotional style. Devotees were deeply moved by bhajans such as “Hamni Ke Dhan Ego Raghav Ke Charan Ba,” “Ab To Swayambhu Manu Ko Avatari Chahiye,” and “Shankar Tu Le Le Kailash, Hum Ta Bharate Rahbe.” The audience swayed with devotion as the bhajans were performed.

The musical ensemble featured Vishesh Narayan Mishra on harmonium, Hariom Wali and Santosh Dagar on tabla, along with other accompanying artists.

Following the discourse, several devotees, including Rakesh Pandey, Shyamji Agrawal, Ravi Tiwari, Sunil Agrawal, Dr Ajay Gupta and councillors from various wards of Lucknow, participated in the aarti ceremony.

Media in-charge Dr S.K. Gopal informed that the fourth day of the Shri Ram Katha will commence on Thursday at 5 p.m. Volunteers from organisations including Marwari Yuva Manch, Ekal Abhiyan, Shyam Premi Sangh Trust, Utsav, Bora Foundation and International Vaishya Federation assisted in managing arrangements at the venue.
