Revenue Grievance Camp to Make Administration More Citizen-Centric: Sunetra Ajit Pawar

Baramati, August 2026: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Pune district Guardian Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar said the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Revenue Grievance Redressal Camp would make the revenue administration more transparent, responsive, people-oriented and citizen-centric.

Speaking at the inauguration of the camp organised at Shri Sharadchandra Pawar College of Engineering and Technology, Someshwar, under the Baramati Assembly constituency, Pawar said the initiative would help resolve the day-to-day issues faced by farmers, students, women and residents of rural areas. She also directed officials to ensure that all water bodies and lakes in the taluka are filled immediately through the Janai-Shirsai water scheme, noting that satisfactory rainfall had resulted in all dams in the district reaching full capacity.

The camp was organised to mark Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ birthday and the birth anniversary of late Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

Pawar said the state government had introduced the revenue grievance camps to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of various welfare schemes without delay. She said the initiative was taking administration to people’s doorsteps and enabling authorities to address grievances and fulfil citizens’ rights more effectively.

She highlighted several reforms undertaken by the Revenue Department over the past 18 months, aimed at saving citizens’ time and money while improving transparency. These include services related to agricultural land records, 7/12 extracts, mutations, inheritance registrations and non-agricultural permissions.

Under the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Debt Relief Scheme, the first list covers 61,900 eligible beneficiaries who are being provided debt relief amounting to Rs 523.22 crore, she said.

Pawar also announced that efforts were underway to strengthen the network of farm access roads in the Baramati constituency. Around Rs 18.88 crore has been secured for constructing permanent roads. A farm road was approved through mutual consent at Pansarewadi, providing permanent access to around 15 acres of agricultural land. Another 100 roads are proposed under the Supa revenue circle.

She said a 10-day action plan had also been implemented by the Baramati Revenue Department covering land subdivision surveys, updating maps and 7/12 records, housing schemes, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the availability of minor minerals for construction of farmhouses and wells.

The Deputy Chief Minister further announced that a 30-bed Critical Care Block had been sanctioned for Baramati under the National Health Mission. She also noted that 10 of the 75 villages selected in Maharashtra under the Smart Village and Intelligent Village initiatives were from Baramati taluka.

Pawar directed the Zilla Parishad to expedite solid-waste management projects and urged the Someshwar Cooperative Sugar Factory to consider making land available for the projects.

Sub-Divisional Officer Uttam Dighe said around 20,000 citizens are expected to benefit from the camp through 30 dedicated stalls offering services and information from various government departments.

During the programme, Pawar distributed preliminary benefit certificates to beneficiaries and unveiled information booklets detailing important reforms and office services introduced by the Revenue and Agriculture Departments.
