Industries Minister Lakhan Lal Devangan Gifts ₹30 Lakh Worth of Development Works to Chhattisgarh Nishad (Kevat) Community

Raipur, February 2026 : Industries Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan attended the Maharaja Shri Guha Nishadraj Jayanti and the State-Level Youth Introduction Conference organized by the Chhattisgarh Nishad (Kevat) Community at Budhwari in Korba. On the occasion, he offered prayers to Maharaja Shri Guha Nishadraj and sought his blessings.

At the event, held under the chief guestship of Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan and the chairmanship of Mayor Mrs. Sanju Devi Rajput, development works worth ₹30 lakh were dedicated to the community. Minister Devangan had laid the foundation stone for these works during the community’s program last year. On Sunday, the inauguration of the community building’s boundary wall, kitchen shed, additional rooms, and borewell construction was completed.

On this occasion, the community expressed its gratitude by honoring Minister Devangan with a traditional garland. Addressing the gathering, Minister Devangan said that he has always received immense affection and blessings from the Nishad (Kevat) community, and it is by the grace of Maharaja Shri Guha Nishadraj that he has had the privilege of dedicating such significant development works to the society. Mayor Mrs. Sanju Devi Rajput stated that this is the BJP-led Vishnudev government, and Cabinet Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan is continuously delivering major development initiatives for the city, the district, and every community.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Backward Classes Commission Shri Nehru Ram Nishad, Chairman Nutan Singh, Councillors Shri Narendra Devangan, Shri Yugal Kaivart, and Shri Kishan Kaivart, BJP Fishermen Cell State Convener Pradeep Kaivart, District President of the community Shri Lalit Kaivart, Treasurer Shri Santosh Kaivart, Women’s President Mrs. Poonam Kaivart, Youth President Shri Jitendra Kumar, along with a large number of respected members of the community.
