Online Inspection of Health Services, Focus on Patient-Centric Care

Jaipur, February 2026 : On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, medical facilities across the state are being continuously strengthened. Under the guidance of Medical and Health Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khimsar, health services are being reviewed in mission mode. After recent intensive inspections of medical institutions by district administrations, Principal Secretary Smt. Gayatri Rathore, along with other state-level officials, conducted an online inspection of medical institutions on Tuesday and interacted with those in charge.

Through video calls, the Principal Secretary inspected Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Bhilwara; District Hospital, Nawalgarh (Jhunjhunu); and the Community Health Centre, Raisinghnagar (Sri Ganganagar). After 12 noon, she reviewed the presence of medical staff, the status of OPD and IPD services, and the availability of free diagnostic tests and medicines. She also assessed cleanliness, functionality of medical equipment and overall infrastructure. During the interaction, she discussed ground-level realities with hospital in-charges and healthcare staff and took feedback directly from patients regarding the quality of services.

Smt. Rathore said the state government is firmly committed to providing patient-centric facilities in all medical institutions. She stressed that all health personnel and officials must perform their duties with sensitivity and dedication so that patients do not face any inconvenience during treatment. She directed officials to further improve standards related to maternal and child health services, institutional deliveries and immunisation. Emphasis was also laid on screening for cancer, tuberculosis and other diseases, noting that effective screening would help improve health indicators and promote awareness about healthy lifestyles among the general public.

She further instructed that Ayushman Arogya Mandirs should ensure the smooth availability of yoga, wellness activities and other healthcare services so that people do not have to travel to cities for routine treatment and can access quality care near their homes. She emphasised optimal utilisation of all available resources, including diagnostic machines, and directed that immediate maintenance be ensured if any equipment becomes non-functional. To enhance service delivery, hospitals were advised to adopt innovations such as queue management systems, help desks and Ramashray wards.

Senior officials, including National Health Mission Mission Director Dr. Amit Yadav, Additional Mission Director Dr. T. Shubhamangala, Additional CEO of Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency Dr. Nidhi Patel, Director of Public Health Dr. Ravi Prakash Sharma and Director (AIDS) Dr. Sushil Parmar, also reviewed health services through video conferencing.
