Thailand’s Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana to Visit Rajasthan from Feb 6 to 10

Jaipur, Feb 2026 : Thailand’s Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana will be on a visit to Rajasthan from February 6 to 10. Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas on Wednesday reviewed the preparations for her visit at the State Secretariat in the presence of the Royal Thai Embassy’s Ambassador, Ms. Chavanart Thangsumphant, along with representatives from the Thai Embassy and India’s Ministry of External Affairs.

The Chief Secretary said that Rajasthan is globally known for its unique tradition of Atithi Devo Bhava (Guest is God), and it is a matter of pride for the state to host Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana. He added that the visit would further strengthen strategic, cultural, and economic ties between India and Thailand.

He conducted a detailed review of all aspects related to the visit, including police preparedness, security arrangements, traffic management, protocol, and other logistical measures.

During her stay, Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana will visit Jaipur and Jodhpur. In Jaipur, she will tour major historical and cultural landmarks such as Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Tripolia Bazaar, and other prominent sites. In Jodhpur, her itinerary includes visits to Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jaswant Thada, and other key tourist destinations. She will also be introduced to Rajasthan’s rich handicrafts, traditional arts and crafts, culture, heritage, and renowned hospitality.

Royal Thai Embassy Ambassador Ms. Chavanart Thangsumphant said that the Princess chose Rajasthan for her visit after being impressed by its rich cultural heritage. She expressed gratitude to the state government and the Chief Secretary for the comprehensive arrangements being made.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (Tourism, Art, Literature, Culture and Archaeology) Shri Praveen Gupta, Principal Secretary (General Administration Department) Shri Naveen Jain, Director General of Police (Law and Order) Shri Sanjay Kumar Agrawal, Jaipur Divisional Commissioner Ms. Poonam, Tourism Commissioner Ms. Rukmani Riar, and Jaipur District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, along with representatives of the Thai Embassy.

Director General of Police Shri Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Jodhpur Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pratibha Singh, Jodhpur Collector Shri Gaurav Goyal, and Jodhpur Police Commissioner Shri Om Prakash participated in the meeting through video conferencing.

The Thai delegation included Royal Thai Navy Captain Nattapong Phannarai, Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Kiran Moongtin, Political and Economic Assistant Ms. Anjali Singh, First Secretary Mr. Phanuwit Wejsamphan, CDP Thoranin Gajjaseni, Protocol Assistant Mr. Denny Joseph, Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs representative Mr. Chanin Sriviset, and Consul General of Thailand in Kolkata, Mr. Jirask.
