Naidu Urges NDA Legislators to Take Government Achievements to the People as Budget Session Begins

Amaravati, Feb 2026 : On the opening day of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Budget Session, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met NDA alliance MLAs and MLCs at the Assembly Committee Hall and called upon them to actively communicate the coalition government’s achievements to the people. Stressing that governance is meaningful only when citizens are fully aware of welfare and development initiatives, the Chief Minister asked legislators and Ministers to explain government programmes at the grassroots level with clarity and conviction.

Addressing the gathering, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh had decisively moved from a phase of “destruction to development” over the last 20 months. He asserted that the State was now witnessing growth across sectors, driven by people-centric decision-making and efficient governance. According to him, the coalition government had carefully identified public needs and acted swiftly, earning widespread appreciation in a relatively short period.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister presented a comprehensive list of around 60 major welfare schemes, reforms, and development milestones implemented during the coalition government’s tenure. He highlighted that these initiatives reflected the government’s commitment to inclusive growth, social justice, economic revival, and long-term development.

Key Achievements of the Andhra Pradesh Coalition Government (Last 20 Months)

  • Talliki Vandanam: ₹10,090 crore deposited into mothers’ accounts; benefited 67.27 lakh students
  • Stree Shakti: 43.51 crore free bus journeys for women; ₹1,532 crore spent
  • Deepam–2 Scheme: Three free LPG cylinders annually to 1.08 crore families; 3.64 crore cylinders distributed (₹2,891 crore)
  • Annadata Sukhibhava: ₹20,000 per year to 46.86 lakh farmers; ₹6,310 crore disbursed
  • NTR Bharosa: Monthly pensions to 63 lakh beneficiaries; ₹58,654 crore spent
  • Persons with Disabilities: Free bus travel and pension withdrawal from anywhere
  • Matsyakara Bharosa: ₹20,000 annually to 1.25 lakh fishermen; ₹250 crore allocated
  • Weaver Support: Free electricity – 500 units (power looms), 200 units (handlooms); over 1 lakh families benefited
  • Auto Drivers Assistance: ₹15,000 annually; ₹436 crore to 2.90 lakh drivers
  • Anna Canteens: 7.50 crore meals served through 205 canteens in 113 constituencies

  • Mega DSC: Recruitment process initiated for 15,941 teachers
  • Police Recruitment: 5,757 constables appointed; stipend raised to ₹12,500
  • Land Reforms: New pattadar passbooks issued; Land Titling Act repealed
  • Frontline Workers: Gratuity for Anganwadi & ASHA workers; NTR Baby Kits launched

Concluding his address, Naidu urged legislators to confidently convey these achievements to citizens, stating that effective communication was essential to sustain public trust. He expressed confidence that the coalition government’s performance over the last 20 months had laid a strong foundation for accelerated growth, social equity, and a prosperous Andhra Pradesh.
