BJP President Nitin Nabin Slams Congress Over Protest at India AI Impact Summit
Ahmedabad, Feb 2026 :Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Indian National Congress, accusing it of bringing “shame to all Indians” after members of its youth wing disrupted proceedings at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi. Describing the incident as deeply unfortunate, Nabin said the Congress’s “anarchic policies” and lack of principles would inevitably lead to the party’s political downfall.
Addressing party leaders and workers during his three-day organisational visit to Gujarat, Nabin said the protest had tarnished what should have been a moment of national pride. “Today is a saddening day for the country and its citizens. When parties have no principles, no policies, and their leadership turns anarchic, such anti-national thinking comes to the fore,” he said.
Nabin emphasised that the India AI Impact Summit had drawn global attention, with policymakers, technology leaders, and international delegates gathering in India to discuss the future of artificial intelligence, innovation, and regulation. “At a time when the world is expressing pride that such a prestigious summit is being held in India, people with an anarchic mindset are conspiring to defame the country,” he alleged.
Earlier in the day, around 10 members of the Indian Youth Congress staged a brief protest inside an exhibition hall at the summit venue. The protesters raised slogans before security personnel intervened and escorted them out. Police detained several of those involved, and normal proceedings resumed shortly thereafter.
Reacting strongly to the disruption, Nabin said, “The manner in which Congress leaders created a ruckus at the AI Summit, and the way the Congress party is supporting it, is extremely unfortunate. I condemn it in the strongest possible terms.” He argued that such actions not only disrespected an international मंच but also sent a negative message about India to the global community.
The BJP president also directly targeted senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of repeatedly undermining moments of national achievement. “Whenever the country has had a moment of pride, Rahul Gandhi has done something or the other to cause distress to the nation and its people,” Nabin said, alleging that the party’s current leadership thrives on disruption rather than constructive politics.
According to Nabin, the protest was not an isolated incident but a reflection of a deeper malaise within the Congress. “The mentality of the Congress has fallen so low today that it is completely bringing shame to all Indians,” he remarked. He further claimed that the party’s consistent negativity and confrontational approach were alienating the public.
“I would like to tell Congress leaders clearly that due to Rahul Gandhi’s anarchic policies, the downfall of the Congress is certain,” Nabin added, asserting that voters would reject what he described as politics driven by chaos and obstruction.
Nabin’s comments formed a key part of his engagements in Ahmedabad, marking his first visit to Gujarat since taking charge as BJP national president. During the visit, he is meeting party office-bearers, grassroots workers, and elected representatives to strengthen organisational coordination and outline the BJP’s political roadmap.
The India AI Impact Summit continues in New Delhi, with discussions focusing on responsible AI development, global cooperation, and India’s growing role as a technology and innovation hub.
