Development Made Foundation of Nation-Building in State: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that rapid development is underway across Madhya Pradesh. Balanced growth in both rural and urban areas is enabling the state to move swiftly toward self-reliance. He said, “We have made development the foundation of nation-building, and with this pledge, we are steadily taking the state forward.” He stated that the ongoing development works in the state will transform it into a new hub of education, tourism and infrastructure in the coming years. The government’s goal is to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last citizen. He also mentioned initiatives undertaken in honour of tribal hero Tantya Mama and announced that the ‘Bhagoria Festival’ will now be celebrated as a State festival. Announcing major gifts for Mahugaon, he declared the construction of a new 100-bed hospital and the upgradation of Mahugaon Nagar Parishad to Municipal Council status.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed a gathering on Sunday at Mahugaon in the Mhow Assembly constituency of Indore district during the inauguration and Bhoomi Poojan of various development works worth ₹85 crore. On the occasion, he unveiled the statue of Rashtrarishi Nanaji Deshmukh and inaugurated the Nanaji Deshmukh Tourist Site developed at a cost of ₹4.50 crore. He also inaugurated the Sandipani Government Model Higher Secondary School, Mhow, built at a cost of ₹38 crore and the Chandrashekhar Azad Sarovar (Kakadpura Talab) Park and Ghat, constructed at a cost of ₹1 crore. The Chief Minister, recalling Rashtrarishi Nanaji Deshmukh, said that he was not merely a politician but a great social reformer who dedicated his entire life to rural development, education and self-reliance. Nanaji believed that India’s soul resides in its villages and only when villages are strong can the nation become strong. The development model established by Nanaji continues to inspire the entire nation.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Mhow region holds immense historical, spiritual and industrial significance. It is the birthplace of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and nearby ‘Janapav Hill’ is revered as the birthplace of Lord Parshuram. The region is also associated with revolutionary hero Tantya Mama, giving it the character of a pilgrimage town. Rapid industrial growth in Mhow and the surrounding areas, along with the presence of industries, colleges and schools, reflects the pace of development. He congratulated citizens for their participation in this progress and remarked that knowledge of both ‘Shastra’ (scriptures) and ‘Shastra’ (Arms) has been a part of India’s ancient tradition. He said, highlighting welfare schemes for women, youth, farmers and the underprivileged, that these initiatives are bringing positive changes in their lives. Under the Ladli Behna Yojana, financial assistance to women has been increased from ₹1,000 to ₹1,500, and further decisions will be taken in their interest. He also referred to the Ayushman Yojana, treatment assistance for road accident victims, air ambulance services and the initiative of giving a guard of honour to organ donors.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Sandipani schools provide quality education with modern facilities, encompassing academics, sports, and skill development. From the upcoming academic session, milk will be
provided to students from Classes 1 to 8 in government schools. He also announced that work on the Mhow–Khandwa railway line will be completed soon, and railway services will be expanded to promote tourism in the region. The Chief Minister also performed the Bhoomi Poojan for several development projects, including a new drinking water pipeline under AMRUT 2.0 costing ₹14.44 crore, a wastewater management scheme under Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 costing ₹7.52 crore, the Mhow–Neemuch Road construction costing ₹10.40 crore, ghat construction at Mahugaon Muktidham costing ₹2 crore, a community hall costing ₹1.03 crore, a road from Gaikwad Square to Mahugaon School costing ₹2.50 crore and Gaushala Road construction costing ₹1.51 crore. He also performed Kanya Poojan and distributed benefits to beneficiaries under various schemes.

Farmers’ incomes are increasing, youth are getting new employment opportunities, industrial growth is accelerating, and the Ayushman Yojana is proving effective in the healthcare sector.
MLA Sushri Usha Thakur highlighted the development works undertaken in the Mhow Assembly constituency and said that the region has immense tourism potential. She referred to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Lord Parshuram and Tantya Mama, stating that the land is blessed by these great personalities and that their ideals are guiding the region’s development.
