Delhi CM Unveils IFFD 2026 Logo, Positioning Capital as a Global Hub for Cinema and Creative Industries

Feb 2026 : Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday unveiled the official logo of the International Film Festival Delhi (IFFD) 2026, marking a significant milestone in the Capital’s journey towards establishing a strong global cultural and creative identity.

The logo was launched at a special ceremony in New Delhi, where the Chief Minister described it as a historic symbol reflecting Delhi’s evolving creative spirit and its aspirations to emerge as a leading centre for global cinema. She said the design captures the vision of a progressive capital that embraces storytelling, innovation, and artistic expression on an international scale.

The high-profile event was attended by several eminent personalities from the worlds of governance, cinema, and culture. Among those present were Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra, Padma Shri awardee Manoj Joshi, acclaimed actors Arjun Kapoor, Nimrat Kaur, and Divya Dutta, along with renowned filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the newly unveiled logo clearly reflects the direction in which the Delhi government is moving—towards positioning the national capital as a vibrant hub for the global film and creative industries. She emphasised that IFFD 2026 is envisioned not merely as a film festival, but as a comprehensive cultural platform that brings together filmmakers, storytellers, and creative professionals from across the world.

Highlighting the broader significance of the festival, she said IFFD will play a crucial role in connecting Delhi with the international film fraternity, encouraging dialogue, innovation, and creative collaboration. The festival, she added, will also provide a major boost to young filmmakers, creative startups, and cultural entrepreneurs by offering them global exposure and networking opportunities.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that IFFD 2026 would enhance Delhi’s cultural footprint, promote cinematic excellence, and strengthen the city’s position on the global creative map, while reinforcing India’s soft power through cinema and storytelling.
