Administrative approval for irrigation project worth more than Rs 1,320 crore
The meeting of the Council of Ministers was held in Mantralaya under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The Council of Ministers has given administrative approval of Rs 1320.14 crore (irrigation area 32,125 hectares) for the Chitrangi pressurized micro irrigation project of Singrauli district. The approved project will benefit 132 villages (irrigation area 28,192 hectares) of Chitrangi tehsil and 10 villages (irrigation area 3,933 hectares) of Devsar tehsil of Singrauli district.
Approval of 30 posts for expansion of cyber tehsil
The Council of Ministers approved to provide adequate staff for the Cyber Tehsil Project. For expansion in the entire state, approval was given to transfer the office to Cyber Tehsil for 10 posts of Tehsildar out of 619 posts sanctioned for the districts of Tehsildar cadre, 15 posts out of 55 posts of Naib Tehsildars reserved for deputation and 03 posts of Assistant Class-3 category employees including Chief Revenue Commissioner. Similarly, approval was given to appoint 02 peons through outsource.
Approval of 364 posts under Mission Shakti
According to the revised instructions issued by the Government of India under Mission Shakti, the Council of Ministers approved to operate the Women Empowerment Center in all the districts of the state till the period of 15th Finance Commission 2025-26 to facilitate inter-regional convergence of schemes and programs run for women for the empowerment of women and to create an environment in which women can understand and utilize their full potential.
In each district hub, the posts of District Mission Coordinator-01, Gender Specialist-02, Financial Literacy Specialist 01, Accounts Assistant-01, IT Assistant-01 and M.T.S.-01 were approved. In this way, a total of 364 posts were approved including all the district hubs of the state. The Women and Child Development Department has been authorized to fill the sanctioned posts as per the prescribed procedure.
Approval of Madhya Pradesh Municipality (Second Amendment) Ordinance 2024
The Council of Ministers approved the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation (Second Amendment) Ordinance 2024 concerning the amendment to replace the word “two years” with “three years” in Section 43-A of the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1961.
Ratification of compensation amount above Rs 87 lakh
To develop and expand Rewa airstrip as an airport, it was decided in the previous meeting of the Council of Ministers on 26.09.23 and 13.12.22 to allot the necessary land and pay the compensation amount as required by the Airport Authority of India. The land of Kerar village and Paipkhara of Satna district, tehsil Rampur Baghelan was also included in the land acquired for the construction of the airport. With mutual consent, Collector Satna had wanted to allocate a compensation amount of Rs 87 lakh 50 thousand including 1 percent service tax for the purchase of land, which has been allotted to him. This was ratified in the Council of Ministers meeting today.
Ratification of amendment to the rules of Higher Judicial Service Rules 2017
The Chief Minister’s order dated August 13, 2024, and the notification issued by the department in compliance with it were ratified regarding replacement of Rule-2, Rule-3, Rule-4, Rule-9 and Rule-11 and Schedule-1 respectively of Madhya Pradesh Higher Judicial Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2017 by the Council of Ministers.
Other decisions
The Council of Ministers approved relaxing the maximum limit of Index-1 for administrative/work order approval under ‘Chief Minister’s Village Roads and Infrastructure (Plan No. 6084)’ for financial management of capital works by the Finance Department from 3 to 4.30. With this decision, infrastructure and construction work worth more than Rs 2135 crore can be done in rural areas.
