Chief Minister Shares One-Year Report Card of Achievements
New Delhi, March 2026 : Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta on Sunday visited the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency under the ‘Pravas Programme’, where she interacted with local residents and shared the government’s report card on its successful first year in office.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that after a 27-year gap, the BJP government in Delhi has begun completing works that had remained pending for decades. She noted that Chandni Chowk, which had long suffered neglect, is now witnessing a new wave of development. The launch of the project to lay overhead electricity wires underground thereby preserving the area’s heritage aesthetics, marks a historic step in this direction.
The Chief Minister further said that the government is working with full commitment towards its five-point resolve to build a Delhi that is clean, healthy, safe, green and equipped with robust basic infrastructure. She added that within just one year of receiving the people’s mandate to serve, a strong foundation for systemic transformation has been laid. The resolve of a ‘Viksit Delhi’ is no longer confined to paper; it is now visible across every street, colony and Assembly constituency.
Describing Chandni Chowk as a cultural heritage hub of Delhi, she emphasised that integrating it with modern amenities remains a key priority of the government.
The programme was attended by Member of Parliament Shri Praveen Khandelwal and Shri Yogender Chandolia, along with MLAs Shri Tilak Ram Gupta and Shri Ashok Goel, besides several senior public representatives and party office-bearers.
